After being chased to retirement by a blown up CW, how will history remember Vitali?

Name ONE guy that is left for him, or for that matter his brother, to fight? You shouldn't blame him for the ridiculous state of heavyweight boxing. He reminds me of Larry Holmes-- a little boring, but dominated in an era where there just wasn't any good fighters out there.

I sat ringside at this fight, and although Lewis came in out of shape, it was an excellent fight. Forget the cut, no one can ever say Klitschko can't take a punch. I also saw the Sanders fight and he got hit by a powerful puncher in Sanders but never faltered. He definitely had a good chin.

I feel sorry for Vitali, he will be remembered for one result and one result only.

He fought on much longer than your hero Lewis never was embarrassingly KOed twice by average American fighters and went out on a savage cuts stoppage to his opponent by TKO 4. TKO 4 > TKO 6. Sorry.

As you have told us for years on here it is OK to retire after winning via a TKO cuts stoppage. Charr fought the oldest, most uninterested, and almost fattest version of Vitali and couldn't win.

Haye had 3 chances to fight Vitali but took the easier path each time. It is what Haye does. He is a businessman not a Prize Fighter. He has conned and manipulated the gullible British Boxing fans three times now. When will you Glass Jawed idiots ever learn? When?

Maybe Haye can stick around and fight the winner of Arreola vs whoever for the vacant belt. I am sure he will hype the hell out of it and put on an exciting show with a savage KO just like he did against Valuev and Wlad.:lol::lol::lol::lol::rofl:patsch

What is the source of this retirement rumour? Didn't he say himself that he would only make an annoucement on his boxing career AFTER the elections next month?

For now, this rumour is without foundation.

Lewis bows out beating the heir to his thrown.

Vitali bows our beating a guy who walked into a room full of boxers and boxing journalists and no one knew who he was.

Yes I was so hurt watching Lewis in 2 boring fights with Holyfield where he refused to engage and watching him take 8 rounds to get rid of a totally old and shot Mike Tyson. I was just crushed by that. The best 'Prime' American he beat was Mercer and that was a close fight. He got one punched by McCall and Rahman for christ sakes who were average to mediocre.:rofl
