Dana is an emotional rollercoaster of a person.

I honestly would'nt be shocked if he were bipolar.

if Jones beats Vitor, then someone else, all will be forgiven.

It will never be forgottin, but it will be forgiven.

Oh (insert cuss word, oddly can't think of the right one to say atm), it is this weekend. Hope Bones wins but I have a feeling this and Silva/Bonnar will be better fights than expected. May be wishfully thinking but don't think I am plus us fans deserve it after all these cancellations recently.

People don't give Vitor Belfort the credit he deserves. He can KO anyone quickly. There is a chance he could beat Jones. Would he win 2 fights in a row? Very unlikley. Even if Jones loses he will get a re-match and the title will be his again.

I've been covering Vitor for almost a decade. Just following the whole roller coaster ride he's been on his entire career, it'd be outstanding if he won the title and I would be very happy.

Dana wants that belt away from Bones now IMO.

He doesn't want a Bret Hart situation. And Jones looks like he might outgrow the company, at least in his own mind, and be too much for Zuffa to keep hold of.

Maybe. Remember what happened at UFC 142 when White and Ferttita made it pretty clear that Anthony Johnson was going to be cut unless he had a spectacular victory? Miragliotta's officiating in the Belfort/Johnson fight was extremely suspect. When the UFC puts on fights outside of the US, the American refs that work the cards are actually working for Zuffa.

Of course, trying to destroy Jon Jones, who's the one young American rising star who's come up with the promotion since most of the old guard retired, because he turned down a super short notice fight and a card fell apart due to Zuffa's own incompetence would be mind-bogglingly stupid, but given the behavior of Zuffa management over the past several years, I wouldn't put it past them.

First off Vitor is NOT going to beat him. He has 3 hopes of victory. Slim. None and Bob.
Secondly Jones is not anything remotely close to being a hypejob win or loose. He has some solid wins at 205. Although the accolades being given him by fans about being the greatest at 205 are just ridiculous. I'm not on his hype train but the kids definitely NOT a hype job by ANY stretch.

Thats nonsense Flea. Where exactly is Jones going to go if he does leave the UFC? Right now Jones has no real peers at 205. His dominance is clear. Thats actually a great thing for the UFC. So i dont see how Dana would want Jones to loose his belt, for 205 to descend into the similar merrigoround that heavyweight was infamous for circa 2005-07.

Yes he can. But the only caveat is he has to be in his physical prime which was well over a decade ago. Or be fighting B plus fighters. At the highest level Vitor has consistently failed. Every time he's been put in with the best at the weight his lost. As precocious as Vitor was back in the early days when he destroyed Wand and Tank his done nothing to emulate that form since. 15 summi years after his prime now will be no different. He's on a hiding to nothing and has ZERO chance vs Jones.
