do you really think that people would have complained of him fighting pac instead of going on vacations? martinez instead of ortiz? margarito instead of baldomir?

Only on esb where a WW can duck a MW.

  3. Yes but not with the speed and power of Pacquiao.

And the problem lies with his defence, designed more to block the right hand, much more effort to block the left hand, that is why a good jab from an orthadox stance troubles him too.

And southpaw have given him trouble in the past trouble is they were the quality of fighter that Pacquiao or Martinez is.

I would have loved to see him face Pacquiao.
Martinez is a middleweight, Floyd a welterweight.
Margarito was a top rank fighter, Baldomir had recently beat Judah and Gatti and was WBC champion, besides the question was Margarito or Oscar, hmm tough choice.

Pacquiao appears no where near as fast as he used to be, even then his defence or lack of one leaves him open to be countered, always has. Martinez is alot larger than Mayweather, I'd love to see that fight though and I do think his chances of victory are alot higher than Pacs.

  6. Pacquaio throws in bunches if Mayweater counters he may land but he will get caught.

Pacquiao has a lot higher work rate than Floyd too.

Pacquiao is a hell of alot more likely to get caught flush than Mayweather is.

Pacquiao's work rate goes down against counter punchers.

Floyd is a 2x SWW champ, currently ranked #1 at 154 by the Ring, ESPN, everyone else. Sergio is offering to drop down to 154. What's the problem?

Pac is a SWW champ too, whats the problem there?

Both of them are too small.

  11. Mosley caught Mayweather flush a few times, didn't really catch Manny with anything.

  12. No he is not he gave up that title. And the fight was at catchweight 150lbs.

I see. You think he'd rather face the young lion that won his SWW belt at a catchweight vs Matt Hatton, then ran the gauntlet headed by Ryan Rhodes? Did worse than Pac vs older, outsized Mosley? Check, check. The young guy is growing up fast though, starting to punch pretty hard. What's Guerrero up to?

pac is currently a WW. floyd a LMW champ. sergio a MW champ. if martinez is willing to go down to LMW to fight floyd's belt, i don't think there is any problem especially when floyd mentioned of wanting to fight the winner of martinez-williams2 back in 2010.
