It's a bit of a slow news cycle for a bit, so let's hear some stories. Please post pics if you have them.

Part of being a fight fan is attending live boxing. If you haven't, find a decent card and go. The speed of the action is so much more impressive live.

Growing up in a small town and not having much money, I didn't see much live boxing as a youth. It's only been the last few years that I've lived in a metropolitan area and had the resources to catch a couple of cards per year.

Notably, I have seen Andre Ward over Arthur Abraham, Kelly Pavlik KO Zertuche, Jorge Arce over Ler. I've also met a pretty good list of fighters from Shane Mosley and Cris Arreolla to Nonito Donaire and Antonio Tarver.

    Your turn....

Never seen Proffessional Boxing live. The only live boxing I have seen is sparring and amateur shows that I also boxed on just.

Would be good to see a World title fight live. Or any pro show I reckon.

  3. I saw Jesse Magdaleno fight. Young guy, fast as ****. Was very impressive.

    Floyd Mayweather KO4 Victor Ortiz
Erik Morales RTD10 Pablo Cesar Cano
    Jessie Vargas SD Josesito Lopez
    Carson Jones RTD7 Said Ouali
    Adonis Stevenson TKO1 Dion Savage

The card was real good. All of the fights were mad entertaining and each brought its own element to the table. The controversial split decision with good action (Vargas/Lopez), the big first round KO from a huge puncher (Stevenson), the brutal cut in an action fight with a future HOF (Morales), the war where you feel the shots (Jones/Ouali), and the short high action main event which was one of the most talked about fights in recent years.

Sweet. I've always wanted to make it out to Vegas for a big one. The atmosphere just seems like it would be amazing.

    Morales UD Pacquiao
    Mayweather TKO9 Chavez
    Barrera MD Morales
    De La Hoya TKO6 Mayorga
    Barrera UD Naseem Hamed

Just my personal favorites. I still remember the crowds for Barrera/Hamed, DLH/Mayorga and Mayweather/Chavez the best crowds I've ever heard. They were so loud and filled with energy. Barrera/Morales 3 was just spectacular. Barrera/Hamed that was a big Mexican crowd one of my favorite highlights of the night is when Naz was making his entrance and the Mexicans were throwing beer at him. :rofl Needless to say they were really happy that night.

Morales/Pacquiao 1 was the best full card I've been too. Jorge Arce vs. Hussen Hussen was amazing, the main event was tremendous.

Also got to meet Glen Johnson earlier that day walking around the casino.

I somehow let slide that I briefly met Sergio Martinez ringside at the Ward/AA fight. Just a brief handshake and a few words, but still enough that I feel a slight connection when I watch him fight.

I actually spent a few minutes with Donaire, then ran into him again later that night. He is a truly nice, humble guy and I root for him even more since that encounter.

Glen Johnson seems like such a great guy. I would love to meet him. That's really cool.

Plus, you got to see some freakin' bangers.

Way more potential than his brother.

Corrales vs Castillo1. **** was intense!
Went to Donaire vs Concepcion, terrible fights all night.
Bunch of Jesus Salud (Maybe Andy Ganigan too, can't remember that long ago)fights when I was really young.

    Boxers I've met:
Bazooka Quartey, really nice guy. His whole team was great.
Tommy Hearns, never met such a gentle giant before. Pure class.
Tarver, super smiley nice guy. Much bigger than you'd expect.
Winky, humble, down to Earth. Smaller than you' expect.
Tyson, huge persona emanated off him. But also, suprisingly little.
Floyd, weirdest vibes. Very deep and dark one second, next he's the life of the party. His dad's is a total gentleman.
Lennox, just in passing I said what's up. fricken monster that guy. Soft spoken, polite.
Zab, cool cool mofo. Seemed genuinely surprised that I recognized him.
Mosley, after the Floyd fight. Nice guy, tiny!

Maybe a few more. I guess working on The Strip sometimes can be beneficial.

It was awesome and only 50 bucks and I sat just behind the fighters families. Glen was awesome from the tiny but of interaction I had with him. Just a really nice genuine seeming guy.
