The Emmanuel Steward Appreciation Thread. Love his commentaries

I was just watching some of HBO'S old fights. I love Manny's Commentaries, great trainer and great commentator.

I loved the Jirov-Toney fight where he was like 'LOOK AT THIS JUST LOOK AT THIS'

and his 'you know you dream about fights like this'. He is so passoniate about boxing and he is my favorite trainer.

Manny breathes boxing, shame that his health doesn't look too good, according to various sources, one of the best trainers in the history of the sport

I wish Emanuel Steward all the best and ful recovery.

I hope he will be in Wlad´s corner at Hamburg. If not I will give my tickets back. Wlad and Emanuel are such a great team and i do not want to see any other coach at fight night in Wlad´s corner.

So I hope Emanuel will be in Wlad´s corner.

The press training was so nice to watch between Wlad and Emanuel. Emanuel seems to be in amazing shape for his age.

Very sad know he is ill. I hope he will recover.

I like to add that Emmanuel is very UnderRated by a lot of people.

He had the last two ATG Heavyweight champions. When nobody believed in Lennox, Emmanuel did and help him become champion again.

When nobody believed in Wladimir, Emmanuel did and help Wlad become one of the most dominant fighters in the history of the sport.
If I didn't dislike Vitali so much, I will be a huge Wladimir fan. Wladimir symbolizes everything right about the HW Division and Emmanuel is a big part of his career.


HBO commentating is always better with him.

Man I love listening to Steward he's a fan as much as a great trainer. I agree with him most of the time, but I like he's honest. He's the founder of the legendary Kronk and he's a historical figure in boxing HBO lucky to have him. I hope he gets well soon.

Yes and people forgot this, when nobody!!!!!! inclusive his brother!!! believed in Wladimir, Emanuel helped Wladimir and with Emanuel Wladimir becomes the No. 1 Heavyweight.

I hope Wladimir will never forget this, but i am sure he will not forget what Emanuel had done for him.

 

I get pissed off and cuss at the TV some times when Manny nuthugs too hard or says **** that I find to be stupid just like 99.9% of commentators, but Steward is a great trainer and comes across as a genuinely nice dude that has a brain and has forgotten more than I'll ever possibly know about the sport and I wish him well if he is indeed fighting cancer.
