Manny is not doing the revenue that Floyd is doing. Manny did $35 million in his last fight with a guy who has never been on PPV while Floyd did $94 million in his last fight or set the 2nd highest record (at the time) with Ortiz and did $78,400,000 in revenue.

why would it corrupt the numbers? by your statement, you said AFTER the Oscar fight they're both the A side, so why not remove the Oscar fight where both of them were B side?
how does the recession not affect PPV buys? a lot of people are jobless and wouldn't pay $50 for a fight they could watch free on the net.

 

50/50 was justified then you dummy. Floyd had a career high of $26.2 million with Oscar at the time while Manny had a career high of $25.0 million with Cotto.

Since then Floyd has gone on to do record breaking revenue numbers for Cotto, Ortiz, and before that Mosley while Manny's paydays have stayed the same and he is doing the same PPV.

Looks like Manny is kicking himself in the ass for not taking 50/50 when 50/50 was justified.:deal

Look at Pac and Floyd's common opponents BESIDES the Oscar de la Hoya fight. JMM, Shane, Cotto, Hatton.... they are all close PPV-wise.

The only big difference is Oscar, which is largely due to Oscar losing a lot of PPV-drawing power with the loss to Floyd and lack luster performance to Steve Forbes.

Not to mention, when you average Manny's PPV, it includes Clottey and Tim Bradley which is kind of unfair since they have 10 fans in the world combined. And IIRC, Pac-Bradley did 900K not 700K.

Anyways, it's pointless arguing what % share Pacquiao deserves because Floyd isn't giving him any. haha
