Pavlik is coming off of an impressive win over Will Rosinsky adding to his win streak, which stands at 4 in a row. Pavlik absolutely rips Julio Cesar Chavez Jr for testing positive for marijuana and for drinking. Pavlik isn't judging anyone, he is however curious as to why the networks and everyone else in boxing gives a guy like Chavez a pass for his behaviors, yet they throw him under the bus for running into a light post with an ATV. Pavlik has a great point. The guy went to rehab, and he has cleaned up things, so what gives? Pavlik also mentions Manny Pacquiao as another fighter who's outside of the ring behaviors seem to go unoticed, yet his did not. Pavlik mentions Pacquiao's gambling habits and other activities outside of the ring that he feels got swept under the rug by the powers that be as well. Pavlik also brings up Floyd Mayweather. Kelly is simply jealous and VERY bitter. He was supposed to become a superstar in the sport, and it never materialized, and he only has himself to blame for it. Granted, in his prime he was A LOT better than that bum Junior.
I can't get a link up on it right now for some reason. If you go to the latest news on Kelly Pavlik you will see it. He talks about a lot of different things, even opening up his own gym once he retires. He also rips Jack Loew and his training methods quite a bit. I agree about him needing to do something in the ring soon, but it sounds like he is having a hard time getting a fight.
Thanks. Advice to Kelly. Let go of the bitterness about other fighters out of rings antics. It makes you sound bad and really has nothing to do with you and hurts boxing. Worry about yourself. If something pisses you off you should be in the gym using it as motivation.
Kelly, Manny didn't squander away his career because of his vices. You did. As a matter of fact, Top Rank and Manny gave you a chance to be on his undercard so that maybe you can build your fanbase. Instead you drank away that opportunity as well. F*CK YOU PAVLIK. Everyone has their vices.
