You dont think Katsidis packed a bigger punch than Chavez?

Katsidis lacked in skill, but not punching power.

You're out of your element. You dont know jack **** about the the style methods or history of Julio Cesar Chavez.

For one, Chavez was far from a big puncher.
He scored knockouts through wearing down opposition. He wore down his opposition to the body and then went upstairs for the kill.
Rarely did he score knockouts early or hurt fighters with shots to the head early.

Katsidis carried more power if he landed, the problem is he did not have anywhere close to the skill level to land consistently as Chavez did.

You dont know a damn thing about the sport of boxing. Edwin Rosario for instance is regarded by many as the biggest puncher in lightweight history. Yet he could'nt put a dent on Julio Cesar Chavez.

I make my point about Chavez' punching power by stating it took Chavez 11 rounds to stop Edwin Rosario, not once puttin him down on the canvas.

Lesser fighters like Jose Luis Ramirez, Juan Nazario, and Akinobu Hiranaka, put Rosario to the canvas and knocked him out.

Again, you know jack **** about Julio Cesar Chavez. I repeat, he was not a big puncher and many lightweights in history punched harder than Chavez.

Let me let you in on a little boxing secret. You dont have to be the hardest puncher to be the best. Julio Cesar Chavez was p4p the best for years despite not having great punching power.:deal:bbb:bbb:bbb

Almost 50,000 post and yet you know jack about boxing, you're an embarrassment to this forum.
Sitdown and read and dont post so much, you might learn something!

Katsidis was a pretty hard puncher, but JCC was a superb, very hard, combination puncher. He put Mayweather out on his feet with one punch. But JMM would have given JCC a good fight and has a great chin. I think JCC would pound out a tough but clear decision (which JMM would dispute of course).

    No I don't.

Katisidis does have heavy hands but he has laboured to put away some pretty poor opposition...and make no mistake he was hitting them plenty, it wasn't just his lack of refinement and poor punch placement letting him down..he is often just as much about attrition as Chavez was.

He dropped your boy, so thats why he is now a blown up Sung Kil Moon in your eyes.

JMM lost to Pac 3 times. How can you even call a fight with JCC competitive?

Dumb question anyway. Chavez ducks him. At least until he has 89 fights. JMM is no taxi driver.

JMM has a shot, and the styles mesh nicely, but Chavez would have to be favored.

JMM is great, JCC is ATG possibly GOAT lightweight.

People have trouble seeing what's right in front of their eyes sometimes. One day the period when we had MAB, EM, JMM and Pac all fighting in and around the same weight classes will be considered the greatest days in the history of the fw/sfw divisions.

JCC only had real problems with slicksters after his training regimen included daily whores and an 8 ball. He had no problem finding Camacho, he tracked down Taylor. He got rid of plenty of slick fighters when he was young and hungry.

Are you out of your ****ing mind? You DKSAB. Chavez had ****ing EXCELLENT power, he hit guys with right hands over the top and they looked like they just grabbed onto a high voltage power line, quivering and quaking in place. He had an ATG left hook to the body. Seriously. What the **** are you smoking?
