    Well...I'm happy to announce I had fifty quid on a Burns stoppage. I'd heard how good he was looking in sparring and how he was much stronger at lightweight. I also felt that the psychological edge had over Mitchell due to their infamous sparring session earlier in the year, when Tibbs had had to step in to stop it, would be key.

    At the weigh-in I knew it was going to be Ricky's night. Mitchell's physique looked depleted while Ricky looked healthy and strong.

    Ricky Burns is the best fighter Scotland has produced since Buchanan, no doubt. I would hate him to fight Harrison. There's nothing for Ricky in fighting Scott now, who I have to say looks a pale imitation of the fighter he was.

    Ricky should look to fight in the US next, I feel. I could see him going up to 140. He still looks ripped at 135.

    A great win and fully deserved by the most humble and gracious fighter you could hope to meet. **** Andy Murray. Ricky Burns is Scotland's true sporting hero.

    i wonder if mitchell has a twin thats actually good at fighting but only fights when he can be arsed, leaving kevin 'afterbirth' mitchell having to step in for him.

    He knocked out the undefeated European champion. Prescott is Euro standard too (despite being Colombian..)

    DON'T DO IT SCOT or RICKY, ****** & British(English), boxing would love to eliminate one of you (at this stage Harrison), Ricky MOVE ON & UP (in weight too), and Scot IF you can do it climb your own proven road back and "claim" back what you can & good luck.

    BUT DO NOT FIGHT EACH OTHER ANYTIME SOON, don't let them do it to you & Scotland... Imagine the PRIDE & recentment IF both of you became legitimate world champions & in Ricky Burns case at 2 weights!!!

    He was well prepared. He got dominated by a guy who is a level above. That's all it comes down to. Mitchell could be the fittest guy ever, but he lacks what it takes to be a genuine contender. End of debate.
