    :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

    You're arguing about the stoppage?

Mitchells head was getting rolled in the final exchange before the stoppage.

Nothing at all wrong with it.

    The stoppage was fine.

It's not the refs job to look at the time and think ''**** it, I'll let him off because there's only a couple of seconds left to the bell''.

He was ****ed and clearly not capable of continuing. End of story.

O'Connor would have been justified in stopping it when Mitchell went down a second time, usually British refs do stop a guy if he's down twice in quick succession.

Just an observation - Tibbs' advice in the corner was utterly awful. "Slip his punches, under or over" "Get close".

What advice would you give? :think I thought it was perfectly fine.

Burns was killing him from a distance, and he would have done so all night. Every time Mitchell made an attempt to box from the outside, the better man got the last laugh and landed the counters.

Mitchell's only chance last night was to get inside, because he clearly didn't have a shot of out boxing Burns with the way he was looking.

The concept was fine, but he offered no tool that Mitchell could use. Even just "Jab on the way in and bob under his jab" would have been better than what he did say.

It's not enough for a trainer to offer tactics, they need to offer practical execution. One particular gem was "You're missing with the hook".

Admittedly he did say "Jab, jab then bring in the uppercut", but since he'd offered "slip his shots" before, that wasn't much use.

Kevin's a tool though, I doubt he has the brain power to absorb anything complex, which is why John Murray was able to put a beating on him for five rounds.

Actually, Mitchell was getting slaughtered on the inside and the outside. He just wasn't good enough - but he abandoned his jab because it wasn't getting through, even though it actually would set other shots up for him.

Tibbs knew he was done, you could see the body language he was fuming inside and knew the kid was on way to loss. Kevin seemed to have no real game plan bar hit him with the left hook and draw him onto something big. Yes Burns falls out of position and a few times last night did but you can't wait for something big.

Smith was spot on when he said Mitchell is showing the left hand for the hook, he made it clear he wanted to get it off. Burns disarmed him and the left hook just took it all out of him.

But DFT is right, The advice wasn't good enough it came across as spectulative rather then thoughtful for me he'd of been better asking Mitchell to move head and get inside and force Burns back to take iniative away from Burns. He started well in round one then soon as Burns replied it was like ''crap, dunno what to do.................''.

I thought Smith did a really good job of reading the fight. He's really impressed me as a pundit.

Mand, I think the instant Kevin beat his chest after getting manhandled on the ropes, it was over. He realised that Burns was too big, too strong and too rounded for his usual bag of tricks to work.

He is the absolute definition of an on-top fighter.

This is just whingeing. Mitchell was too small, too vulnerable and despite what many people have been saying, not skilled enough.

Me too, I can't stand Smith, but as long as I don't see his morbid face it's ok, he was much better then Rawling, who I think in all honesty is awful, the one thing that pissed me off was he kept saying 'this kid' but maybe I'm just a picky twat.
