Just wondering. I can't stand the ****er. (The boxer, not the man.) **** style, **** face, **** defence, **** trainer, **** everything.

Can you imagine him against Jnr Witter? **** me.

Does he have any endearing qualities(as a fighter)?

Does Hatton really have any endearing qualities as a fighter??

But everybody loves him and if you are completely honest his style is very unpleasent.

He really let himself down with his conduct after the Khan fight.

the fact is, Paul McCloskey was a guy who turned pro at 25, got matched harder than most (Bustos, Di Feto, Tonchev, Garnica, Bazan, great performance over Nigel Wright, destroyed Colin Lynes on a few days notice for the Brit title, Khan and Prescott all in TWENTYFOUR fights) and the guy is 30 plus now, he lost his touch years ago, he did once have something, a lot of people just don't remember how good he once looked.

he just looks like an OLD man out there, he just hasn't aged well

he's been matched like a young man, but really he's an old one

I think people have just been jumping on a bandwagon, really. His conduct post-Khan was certainly questionable, but I think he deserves more respect than he's being afforded.

He's not the most athletically talented guy in the world, but he's trying to implement a pretty advanced style that he's not wholly capable of doing at the upper levels, which gets him into trouble. When he has been in that trouble, he's always dug in despite adversity (marking up, busted noses, potential to disappoint a home crowd) and fought until the bitter end.

Last night he fought carelessly at times but made a fun fight out of a potential shitfest between two non-punchers, against a durable guy that himself had no knockout power so you were never going to get dramatics yet it was still very watchable so I question where the negativity is coming from aside from technical criticism which is valid, but you aren't going to get a change out of McC at this stage.

and let's not forget, a BROKEN nose against Prescott and Corley from the second round onwards, have any of you ever had a broken schnoz? it aint easy to fight with

Corley : " I broke his nose, so I said to him "I broke your nose" and he says "That's OK!" so I was like "**** this guy wanna fight!"

i don't mind him. I think he isn't as fast or slick as he thinks he is ,but he is a good fighter who makes exciting fights.his flaws make him exciting and last night showed he doesn't seem like he is going to address those flaws so his fights should be good

clowning a nohoper like he did last night is sort of annoying

He looked very good around the time of winning the Brit title, beating Wright then Lynes, smashing Dean Harrison, but started to look like he was on the way down in his euro title fights to be honest.

But your right for someone who turned pro late on he's achieved a lot and did at one point look a bit special.

A few years back on here mcloskey and duddy we're being built up to be amazing, I've never really thought either were anything special.

Mcloskey has plenty of fights out there for him to do well at domestic and euro level.
