Jennings is awesome but insanely expensive and Pearce might be a good buy to ensure Benji goes back to 5/8

Getting rid of Beau would start to make sense if Jennings were in the picture, Not a big Pierce fan but he could be a blessing, he need a solid halves partnership

 

I watched young drinkwater in the under 21's and he is a class player. He is a very good signing for any club in the NRL. Badass last name

All 3 of them hadn't even debuted in the NRL when the Storm won their one and only legit grand final in 1999 :yep

Slater, Smith and Cronk have only been involved in the 2 grand finals that the Storm were stripped of after being exposed as cheats - 2007 and 2009.

There were rumours going around on the souths forum from supposed insiders that Jennings had agreed to terms with Souths. Actually, it was a package deal, Jennings and his younger brother. This was not long after the whole Jennings fiasco hit the media when he was supposed to be shopped around. Apparently Gould blocked the deal, but left the door open for further talks at seasons end.

Dont know whether it's true or not, as it's only net talk from people who claim to be insiders.

Im fairweather enough to remember Ricky Stuart as half back for Canberra. Chris Anderson as first coach at Storm. When Smith replaced Richard Swain who went to Brisbane everyone thought it was crazy. But the CEO at the time said "We knew we had a gold brick" in Smith.
