He isnt that bad i dont mind him think he is a good talent like someone else posted he has been matched hard. One big let down for McCloskey is his defence is leaky and he lacks power.. Im pretty sure if he had abit more snap in his punch's i think he would win a world title but as it stands he will always come up short at world level unless the champion at the time has a real stinker...
I like Paul. Good lad and good honest boxer. There's alot of talk about how he reacted after the Khan fight debacle most of which I'm sure Paul is still annoyed and embarrassed about. Looked very good prior to the Lauri fight but did not perform to his previous potential since then. The 2 broken noses against Prescott and Corley didn't help his performances. Nice to see him get a win to help his confidence which lets face it was pretty low. Really needs to push on now if he wants to achieve any higher than Euro level as time is not on his side.
Ricky Hatton..? was probably the most exciting British fighter since Prince Naseem Hamed, Nigel Benn etc... Style wise etc...
I disagree, even with a bit more snap behind his punches he would still come up short at world title level. The guy is far too slow to pull off the style he is trying to imitate and simply isnt good enough to tweak his style accordingly to make up for it.
Hate his style, he's a knockout waiting to happen, every time he gets confident he drops his hands and waves his chin out.. he's in trouble when he faces a puncher, not somebody who has a 15% ko
I like that he dresses like an extra from The Commitments. Surely he's got enough cash to have a telly & see what people in the actual world are wearing.
