FW is grooming him as the new Calslappy. He won't fight anyone for another 7 years. Poor little Brittards.

Well he was schooled by Enzo, and sparred with Joe therefore you can sort of see where his style comes from, difference being Calzaghe is a natural Nathan just has the engine and "some" ability !, i agree under his current team he's come as far as he can go, if he continues to fight this way against the elite he'll be involved in some real tear ups where he'll be hit a lot with big shots !

Matchmaking ................. the TS is spot on, the kid isnt keeping up his end of the bargain as a world champion, but thats not his fault IMO, never the less being stripped of his title would be just IMHO

Its a shame the way this guys going, Carl Frampton currently has a bigger profile than Nathan and Bellew probably does too :deal

How has he embarrassed himself? You're saying Cleverly should be stripped for not facing his mandatories, yet when was the last time Ward faced his mandatory?

He didn't accept Lucien Bute's challenge, who was the IBF SMW champion, but accepted Dawson's challenge, who was a nobody in the SMW division.

  5. Where are you from? You have quoted Mogwai and your username is tottenham, yet you use the term "Brittard".:rofl:nut:nut

Nathan's doing what the vast majority of WBO champions do, which is fight whoever he wants.

Of all the sanctioning bodies the WBO are the worst for enforcing mandatories & some of their rankings are terrible.

Vyacheslav Uzelkov has the only legitimate win against LHW #2 Gabriel Campillo. He's only got two losses (both UDs) and a typical KO ratio for his class. Why this is a poor choice is a little beyond me. Maybe it's been cherry picked but the man has a respectable record.

I'm no fan of Cleverly and every time I see him on British Boxing TV he looks like a little boy but I don't see this fight necessarily as ducking.

Think about the LHW (hopkins Jr. retired):

    1. Chad Dawson
    2. Gabriel Campillo
    3. Tavoris Cloud

The rest 15-20 or so are probably a wash. I would say what's up with Ismael Sillakh but he got KTFO... so there it is.

worst champ in the sport bar none. one of the worst in history.still hasn't even fought a B level fighter. It's an embarassment to the sport that this guy is called a world champion. they'll hold that paper belt hostage fighting no hopers at home for as long as possible. it might be 2018 before we see him vs anyone of worth. that's FW for ya

That sums up the whole career of the klitschko's and Cleverley'situation isn't far behind. The level of his opponents have been shockingly bad, but whose out there? Bellew aint a bad fighter and i thought he beat him fairly soundly. Thats why i dont want to see him stripped cos i want to see what he has and see him pressed against the top teir at LH.

It's amazing how this behavior gets defended by some over here... And then pointing towards another who's doing it too, so that means it's ok.

First, Cleverly is the worst out there behind G. Jones.
Second, even if there were many paper champs as bad as him, that doesn't make it ok.

I don't think you're much of a boxfan when you only want your favorites (and/or countrymen) to beat up bums, because then you can call him a "world champion". And then pointing fingers at other champs when they fight a softy after facing a couple of real contenders.

I just feel a world champ should at least have one A level fighter on their resume. the fact that Bellew is barely a B (being generous) and is his best win says it all especially when it was a razor thin decision. It's a shame that the WBO LH belt will be held hostage as long as possible defending vs no hopers and journeyman. FW makes Arum look like a risky promoter
