Is Mariusz Wach any good?

Yeah, Wach boxes patiently from range, not unlike the elder Klitschko in that he parries the jab well and counters well with the R hand.
He's defo not a seek and destroy type fight like Wlad can be. MOF, Wach has often let guys off the hook early in his career for whatever reason and let some of his fights go to the cards when he clearly coulda ended the other guy before he went into a shell.

For Wach to be successful in this one he's gonna have let Wlad have his jab and look to set up his R hand while Wlad is setting up to throw his own.

Also, Wach should look to let Wlad play the jab and grab. Wach fights smallish, he's knees well bent, etc. He should allow Wlad to try his grappling and try to win the wrestling war for a few rounds.

We've seen Wlad tire in fights, and it might be Wach best chance of catching Wlad in the mid late rds.

All the haterz saying Wach needs to bumrush Wlad or go for broke are really just praying Wach catches lightning in a bottle. It's not a realistic chance at victory, esp since Wach doesnt have any serious inside game to sustain that type of attack if/when he hurts Wlad and Wlad grabs.:think

If Wach was fighting Vitali he would have no chance because of the IRON CHEEEEN, but since it Wladamir anything can happen.

 

he's terrible and slow as a dinosaur. he does have power but if fast eddie couldnt land on wlad why would this slow poke?

He is ridiculously slow, even for a heavyweight. Okay power. Poor technique. Shitty defense.

It's not easy, but the Klitschko's are fast at that height. You're right about everything else, he's got a good chin and he isn't scared. It's just going to be really, really hard to land a good shot because Wlad will be keeping the distance with his jab and the combination of slow hand and legs will make it easy for Wlad to step away from power shots.

I'm rooting for him, I'm polish after all, but I see the fight being one sided all the way through. Wach is a good competitor, he can have good fights with everyone but Klitschko.

in my opinion wach is to slow to land a huge shot to stop wlad.and he isnt good enough to out point him..

wach is much bigger.so if he is also physically stronger than wlad then he should use that and make gas then go for the stoppage...

my prediction is wlad wins via late stoppage..wach seems tough but his limited op might be giving me a false reading on him..ive no doubt he could prob take a huge right from wlad.but hes not taking them all night..plus im expecting a few uppercuts from wlad aswell..

usuall start from wlad.slow and cautious untill he susses him out them the shots will start to land and we will see what wach is made of...

He is slightly better than Charr & is durable enough to hang around for a few rounds, but Wach isnt a top20 HW & shouldnt be anywhere near a title.

The fight wont be remotely competitive, its a mismatch.
