  1. I have seen the footage, this kid is strong and packs a brutal left hook, which is khans weakness.

This kid will ko khan out of the sport of boxing

What is it with all these Argie bombers around the weight class.

    Matthysse, Maidana and now Chaves.

I just watched a video of this guy and if he gets Khan hurt he will flatten him he looks a very aggresive finisher.

Like Kotelnik, Maidana, Judah and Peterson did?

Khan's chin is nowhere near as bad as some of yous like to think it is. If he's really planning to go straight in with a banger though you have to wonder if he's really learnt that he has to protect his weaknesses or if he really does believe he just got caught with a lucky shot.

Instead of TTG's we should have HHA or Hard Hitting Argies.

His chin isn't even average though is it? Khan's problem is that his already pretty poor boxing brain seems to completely shut down once he gets a bit hurt. He tries to put on some macho display, and will pay the price for it again if he doesn't change. He showed against Kotelnik that he could box well without getting caught in exchanges, but he seemed to begin to gradually abandon that as he got caught up in his own hype after he endured Maidana (to his credit).

Some careers are hard to predict, but Khan has two very obvious paths open to him. Either continue trying to prove something that doesn't matter, and he will win a few fights impressively and inevitably get caught by a puncher again and get KOed badly, or the light bulb will finally switch on and he will realise that in order to make the greatest achievements possible he needs to adapt his style to account for his weakness, as opposed to try and prove that it isn't there (which it is). If he could take a leaf out of Wladimir Klitschko's book it would do his career a world of good.

It basically depends on what he values more, proving people wrong, or having a long successful career. The first option may be better for the fans in the short term, but the second option may result in seeing him in with some of the best P4P fighters, win or lose. As a fan, I can wait for the second option to pan out, rather than see a few explosive fights and a career derailed.

He took some massive shots from Garcia after the 1st knockdown so I don't think it's below average.

Virgil Hunter said it best when he said it's not Khan's chin that's the problem it's what he does after he gets caught.

There are many aspects to punch resistance. It seems to be relatively easy to get Khan from fully coherent to somewhat wobbled, but once there he seems a little more resilient. However, that's not worthy of that much credit, since he makes terrible decisions when in that condition.

That's pretty much exactly what I said in my second sentence.

It's not going to happen. Don't worry about it.

Perhaps not, but for me that's not the most important issue. It's likely to happen again, so I would like Khan to cut the macho crap so that he can increase his chances of getting the fights that I really want to see him in.

It's due to the corned beef industry, Argentinan food laws demand that cattle must only be slaughtered by punching to death. Stephen Fry said so in an episode of QI.
