It was Jr's greatest strength and weakness combined, the extra weight made him slow n sluggish not able to find a target or even pull the trigger. But it also gave him the ability absorb all that punishment and power to almost ko Martinez. Only way he wins a rematch is his size advantage, we all know he's not in the same boxing league as Martinez but he's got a Hell of a punchers chance.

I mean when it comes to weight, he's average. Pavlik and Chavez are considered big middleweights. And Macklin weighed around 166 pounds when he fought Sergio.

Chavez looked like a ****ing bulldozer , probably he weighed around 185 pounds but I've to admit that he has a ****ing granit chin , probably his best attribute. :yep

Pavlik weighed in at 168 for his Taylor fight and was considered a 'big' middleweight at the time.

I really wouldn't be surprised, judging by the look of him. He's weighed 180+ before and not refused to step on the scales, which leads me to believe he was even heavier. I think he was at least 185 for the fight, personally.

Am I the only one who thinks Peter Quinllin could give Martinez a good fight and possibly beat him?

He was 174 30 days from the fight, I'm not believing some shaky ass source, as far as I know HBO said him and Chavez both refused to step on the scale

So you dont believe he can lose 6-7 lbs in 30 days???

That sounds exactly about right for Martinez. Like I said, the guy is a small to average size middleweight.

The kinda guy who could still make 154 for a big fight

Think Alvarez tends to weigh around 165 on fightnight, couple of pounds either side.

Ortiz weighs 164 as a welterweight!

If the stories are to be believed Clottey once weighed as high as 170 on fightnight while fighting at 147!
