What would be some examples of boxers who have one-punch KO power, and some examples of boxers who used accumulative KO power? And what is the difference?

Vitali is an example who just keeps hammering, he tires you with a lot of punches.(Accumulative)

Julian Jackson is an one hitter.
Accumulative just means you destroy your opponent over more punches while one punch speaks for itself.

It didn't help the gravitas, so to speak, of your thread, to lead with an example of Butterbean.

Good list PP,ecept, with all due respect, I'd swap Foreman's and Arguello's places in the resective categories. Foreman was rarely, with the notable exception of the Moorer ko,a one shot sort of guy, whereas Arguello certainly was, and on a number of occasions...a rather picturesque one punch artist at that...besides that, I'm in agreement with you.

Fenech, sanchez and JCC are the most definite accumulation punchers in that 2nd group imo.

The others were "fight-turning" sort of punchers that had plenty of brutal and relatively sudden knockouts\knockdowns.I'd put them in their own in-between category along with Nelson.

Some fighters are hard to define if you're only using two categories like this really.Foreman is a good example(and Benn), they hardly needed an accumulation of punishment to hurt a man, but their style rarely lended itself to clean sudden knockouts either.Just clubbing brutality.

Accumulative and "fight-turning" or wahatever you want to call a sort of in between category where the fighter is able to significantly hurt most world class fighters with relatively few blows- should probably be the two main raw power groupings imo.The amount of fighters who consistently produce outright one-punch knockouts over good opponents is much lower than the number of fighters in the other two.

This. Wlad is both. SRR both? Louis one punch ko power,
Lewis kind of in between. Arguello had those perfect
one punch body shot knockouts, ooh Tyson vs Botha
One punch KO at its best.

Lewis fully commited punches were as powerful as any i'd say.He didn't fully load up too often though, at least not as his career progressed past the McCall upset stage.

Dempsey one punch power but not Marciano? :huh

Marciano had more 1 punch knockouts in his career and better one punch knockouts on film than Dempsey. Marciano was a hybrid. He didn't become a volume puncher until 1954. Prior to that, He was a lethal one punch knockout artist with his right hand.

I wonder how low a man would have to stoop to think Pacquaio and Azumah Nelson hit definitively harder than Arguello or Ezzard Charles or just about anyone else on that list of supposed "wear em down" types.

DLH up until 140 could one-shot KO people. At 147 and 154, he was more of an accumulative puncher.

    More guys:

    One Punch KO Power:

    David Tua
    Tommy Morrison
    Lennox Lewis
    Tommy Hearns
    Pipino Cuevas
    Roy Jones Jr.
    Kostya Tszyu
    Sergio Martinez
    Wladimir Klitschko

    Accumulation KO Power:

    Antonio Margarito (with plaster)
    Miguel Cotto
    Vitali Klitschko
    Juan Manuel Marquez
    Jose Luis Castillo
    Fernando Vargas

    Both:

    Marvin Hagler
    Sugar Ray Leonard
    Julio Cesar Chavez Sr.
