Has everyone forgotten Bute was avoided before the loss? Ward Pavlik Dirrell Kessler

If Ward had been the first man to beat Bute and then moved up to beat Dawson he would probably be P4P#1 now in my opinion.

It's just a shame he ducked Bute then dragged Bad Glass Jawson down to 168 as he will have to wait until Mayweather and Pacquiao retire now to be considered the top guy in the sport.

Now again, since you're so keen on deflecting my points...What questionable decisions has Ward had in Oakland given his bouts have not been close when he fought there?

Avoided?

Entering the Super Six against better fighters isn't ducking Bute. It's fighting better competition than Bute ever had or would go on to (Froch L aside).

First time he steps up against fellow top notch competition, he gets absolutely blown out in less than 6 rounds. Not saying I predicted it to happen when it did, but pro-Bute fans aside, everyone knew it was going to happen.

Never at any point would I have picked Bute over Kessler, and that stands stronger than ever still today.

At this point, I'd pick Ward, Froch, Kessler, and even Dirrell (who I dislike and find vastly overrated and talked about too much) to beat Bute.

The Bute that Froch beat vs. the Dawson that Ward beat, honestly, would be a 50/50 fight.

Absolutely correct. Ward missed out on a big W against Bute, avoided the fight, and fought a horribly faded Dawson.
