I dissagree on that but that's where it ends I guess. Looking at Oscar at 160 with Sturm, he was horrible. Would you give Floyd more credit for beating Martinez at 154 or 155? Martinez said he can still make 154 comfortably keep in mind. He said he can eat full meals the entire week of the fight and make the weight.:thumbsup As for Oscar, do you take credit away for taking the fight at 156, wether he won or not?
your so biased its rediculous. martinez would be doing it just for the money and to get the fight. floyd can take the fight. but he doesn't get as much credit for beating him t 150. Same as I don't give ward credit for beating that shell of Dawson at at 168.

I'm not bias at all. Sergio is the one who offered . I agree he doesn't get as much credit as if it were at 154 or better..I would still give Mayweather more credit for beating Sergio at 150 than Manny at 147. Sergio is a much more difficult fight, even at 150, then anyone else from 154 on down.
I think this is the same as Shane though. People were saying Shane would dominate Floyd before they signed. Right when they signed people were saying Shane was old and Floyd cherrypicked him. Floyd would not get due credit from fans even if it was at 154. Shane was ranked #3 pound 4 pound just as Sergio is ranked #3 pound for pound. Shane was 38 when the fight took place and Sergio would be 38 if the fight took place. I can see ESB saying Floyd cherrypicked Sergio regardless of the weight.
Nard at 6-2 was almost skeletal at 156, so you have to take away some of the credit but yes, Oscar didn't have to take the fight so he should get credit. I'd give Floyd full credit at 158+, only partial credit for 154-155.
But the same was being said about Shane. I'm not taking anything away. I'm just saying that once it was signed (and I hope it does get signed next year) the majority view would be that Sergio is old at 38...39 maybe but I don't know his bday.:huh Maybe you would say it wasn't...but majority of fans would say he is still ducking Manny. He would not get the kind of credit your saying he would get if he fought him. Just my opinion based on past instances where the fighter was 38 and ranked #3 pound for pound plus #1 in his division.
YOU did, right......but before the fight was signed,MAJORITY of people were saying Floyd was scared as Shane would probably beat him and KO him. I remember the 2nd round, all the casuals at my fight party were saying Floyd was going to now be dominated and he finally met his match etc etc...By the end of the 4th round everyone was quiet and in awww at how things changed so quickly. There was very little to nothing said about Shane's age before the fight was signed.

Dehydrating 15 pounds at the age of 38 does not sound good. Physically it´s an unfair fight. It would literally be a smallish welterweight fighting a good sized Jr middleweight.
