 Okay then. Go to any institute/training centre for elite athletes and ask some people. There's been plenty of articles about Phelps, top cyclists etc. who constantly eat that sort of food. Roy Jones has always lived off fried chicken.

Hopkins was like that because he had to embrace anorexia to make 160 and he liked to make people think he was different/special/super disciplined. Hopkins also said he was prepared to die in the ring (look at him against Dawson, Calzaghe, Allen etc.) and he also said he'd never lose to a white boy.

"There was that movie, about the guy who gains weight because he went to McDonald's. I went to China for two months. I ate McDonald's three times a day. I didn't gain a pound."

 Exactly. Look at the top sprinters over the years, ask them what they eat and they say "Maccas".
But somehow a McDonalds calorie is worth triple the energy of a Mommas home made cooking calorie....

Reminds me of a quote "I went on a diet of eating nothing but healthy food, didn't touch alcohol or cigarettes and in 3 weeks I lost 21 days"

Quite extreme, but cheat days can be very beneficial to training from a psychological standpoint. Chicken and rice all day long will make you boring as well as healthy. Also worrying about eating a ****ing burger 6 weeks out is not healthy, just eat it and suffer the shame spiral afterwards.

Both sides of this argument are too extreme. This is a boxing forum, so I assume everyone here is pretty healthy. A McD's once every week or two won't hurt you, moderation and eating **** as a reward is the key to life.

For those of you who only eat healthily, do you whip yourself after having a wank?

The biggest MacDonalds ever built was in the olympic stadium in London where the athletes eat all the time. I know a guy on holidays who only eat Donalds and he lost weight.
Just dont over do it. To much of anything is bad. Even fruit.
