It's really too bad Duva wasn't ready to throw Holyfield in there sooner.

You sho? Tyson had around eight wins over fighters in the Top 2 of the division. Tony Tucker would've provided the sternest test for any champion pre-Ali if we arent talking about or giving credit for what they did in their eras because if we are, Tyson undoubtedly fought the best available opposition.

People need to list their top tens. Who do you have over him? Marciano? ****in dempsey? please. He had more defenses. He had better wins than both an also would have beaten the **** out of them both

He fights with Wlad, for my number ten spot.

    Holyfield is above both.

  9. 10 Heavyweight that would rank above him

    Joe Louis
    Muhammad Ali
    Rocky Marciano
    Lennox Lewis
    Joe Frazier
    Sonny Liston
    George Foreman
    Evander Holyfield
    Jack Dempsey
    Jack Johnson

Tyson has no big wins over elite prime heavyweights.

****, these days you can't even get people to agree Frazier beat a prime Ali or Foreman a prime Frazier, and those are a couple wins that come to mind as the very first examples. Douglas and Rahman never see their way into a Top 20 despite wins over elite, prime heavyweights. That's because there is far more that goes into rating them, as there are no divisions to jump and elite fighters to seek out. You fight the era you're in, and can do little more.

  12. Dempsey beat Fripo and Willard.

    Marciano beat Charles, Walcott.

Holmes is higher than Tyson too.

  13. Tyson had Lewis and Holyfield in his era, and you can even say Bowe.

Never fought Bowe and Lewis and Holyfield beat him up badly.

Both Willard and Firpo were actually pretty terrible fighters, nevermind being any better.
