except, tillis X2 blood green x2 jose ribalta, quick tillis, jesse ferguson, bonecrusher smith and tony tucker? you have been watching one to many tyson highlight videos, but you know.....opinions are like assholes everyone has one.
ive always thought he wanted to be dempsey/liston as for the thread... theres only one joe frazier.. altime favorite heavyweight.
Thanks for the input guys. I really dont know why dempsey catches so much flack in classic. I mean jesus there are far worse characters in the sport of boxing than Jack haha. I thought about adding Marciano to this list as well how would your rankings go if he was in the mix?
Tyson knocks the other 2 out in the first couple of rounds, he's better at everything, bar possibly stamina
Holding on and losing doesn't mean anything. You can't knock everyone out and simply SURVIVING against Tyson was seen as some sort of "victory". You are clueless in this regard. Especially when you mention Tillis twice and claim Tyson fought Green twice. Ribalta was TKOed and managed to survive the greatest uppercut in history (perhaps the best punch ever thrown). Tucker is the only one who actually did well and he Mentioning losing fighters who were knocked down several times is your argument ... and Tyson didn't fight them all in 1988. In fact he fought none of them in 88. Truth is the truth. 1988 Tyson VANQUISHES anyone put in front of him in a boxing match. Too much speed, power, accuracy, explosiveness, elusiveness and combination punching.
No, Harry Wills was on the knoll, which is why Dempsey stayed in NYC. Tyson and Frazier are a clear cut above the man who perfected the Slack and Duck defense.
Oh boy, the Youtube generation is back in full swing. I hope at the very least you mean only HWs, and only H2H. Otherwise you're absurdly deluded.
ive seen them all Green had some of his teeth knocked into his mouth piece and Ribalta was floored several times. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=prLWCoqg6rc[/ame] ***** green was dropped by Tyson in that street fight and the stores owner disagrees with you and claims Tyson actually won. No point in arguing with someone as pathetic as you. Everything you claim is the opposite of what really happened. Tyson TKO'ed Ribalta you freaking ****** and there was no conspiracy about it. He was getting destroyed and was barely fighting back. http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Mike_Tyson_vs._Jose_Ribalta Ribalta was simply hanging over Tyson. Freguson just held on as well before the stoppage: http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Mike_Tyson_vs._Jesse_Ferguson Tyson broke his nose in that fight and battered him to a pulp and it was a BS stoppage? LOL
The only fight I'll say that was relatively close was the Tucker fight. Tyson KD'ed Tillis and was still developing when he fought him. Tyson displayed great defense against Tucker and managed to hurt him in the middle and late rounds. Tucker did have a damaged right hand but he would still lose against Mike if he was completely healthy.
Who Beats Him? Ali could hardly stun Patterson and when Patterson ACTUALLY moved his head Ali had trouble hitting, Tyson is everything better then Patterson.
Ali stopped Patterson, twice. I do not think Ali would win by hurting Tyson but by out-boxing him and out-working him. Hardly far-fetched stuff. I think Patterson had superior hand-speed and stamina, though, as far as your last comment goes. Foreman could definitely do it, too, especially if his power has a good enough effect on Tyson, and if he can get his uppercut active enough. Lastly, we don't need to ask who can beat him. We don't have to speculate, we already know. Tokyo Douglas did not just win but wiped the floor with Tyson. Nothing outrageous with thinking that Tokyo Douglas could still beat Tyson on his best form. Oh yeah, but we all know Tyson was past his prime, all his skills had eroded at 24 years old, and was only 40% of himself against Douglas. With that bald, Irish drunk in his corner, Tyson is invincible. Only Rooney knows the way of the Peek A Boo style!
Patterson was past it and was hardly himself,He moved WAY WAY WAY more when he took on Liston,That Patterson would stop Ali in the first fight. Foreman we will never know. Tyson could take a punch. Foreman could give a punch. Foreman slow. Tyson reflects are second to none, etc etc etc. Tokyo Douglas beat a mentally weak Tyson who was floored by Berbick in pre-training, His trainers let him get away with so much because he was "Tyson", His greatest days were with Rooney.
