Holmes had trouble with pressure fighters like Norton

Tyson always beats him and always in spectacular knockout fashion

You know it would have been funnier if I hadn't seen Foreman make that joke to Ali back in the 80s. I guess Larry saw that one too.

You are a weird person. On another site you keep insisting you were German and you are all about German Pride.
On this site you are now 'Italian'. The only things that stay the same for you is a shocking hatred towards fighters of color and a weird addiction to Chavez Jr's ****.
People told me you melt down in a RBR thread when your favorite fighter Khan got knocked out as well (previous favorite).

Also Larry Holmes when he was fighting is a legit 6'3. More then enough to jab the ****ing hell out of your idol Gods k2. ****ing moron.

people forget that Holmes went with a 22-2 record after the Tyson fight... Holmes wasn't washed up back in the time, Tyson just killed him, it happen sometimes

Forza DKSAB but I'd have to agree, prime for prime, Larry would pull out a MD 15 over Tyson. Over 12, its 50/50.

People tend to forget that the prime Holmes used to fight much longer durations and took punches from hard men like Earnie Shavers and got up. Plus he jabs with the force of a right lead. Tyson would have a very hard time just bobbing and weaving those. One more thing, Tyson gasses by the middle rounds.

They both look good, and Larry looks spectacular for being almost 63 years old. I think he is almost 63 if I do the math in my head. I like to see the respect the retired fighters have for each other. Hearns for Hagler and Tyson for Holmes. Almost more respect in boxing than basketball players for each other in later years after they retire. Maybe because of the nature of the sport is more brutal.

The thing that would help Larry the most was that Tyson tended to follow rather than cut off the ring at times. Larry with young legs would make it very difficult for Tyson to cut him off.

Tyson's power wasn't up to Shavers standard but his speed at HW was immense. In his prime, he was firing off 3-5 punch combos at lightning speed. On the inside, Larry would almost certainly get caught with body-head shots, which he would not have time to anticipate.

That said, I still see LH winning by close decision after Tyson wears out in the late rounds.
