Commentators hating on Del Valle early. I think Del Valle landed the more effective punches, but Vic was very aggressive. Even round.

    10-10.

I think Vic has looked bad for a long time and Father Time is undefeated.

FFS, we just saw much lighter-hitting Povetkin blow Rahman out five rounds quicker than did WK a few years back.

    ...just because he was aggressive?

Del Valle shots look more like slapping.

    Round 2

Del Valle pumping the jab. Right to body of Vic. Left hook from Del Valle Right to body of Vic. Hard right from Del VAllle in exchange. Nice left from Vic to head of Del Valle. Hard left to body of Del Valle. Del Valle lands right hand. Hard straight right from Del Valle. Another right hand on Vic. 3 rights to chest of vic. Nice counter right from Del Valle. 3 rights to body of Del Valle. HARD right hurts Vic. Counter right from Del Valle on Vic runniing in. Vic charges lands rights and lefts but Del Valle lands the cleaner shots in between landing hard right hands and a left. They trade and that is round.

    10 - 9 Del Valle

    20 - 18 Del Valle

Second round goes to Vic. Del Valle got roughed up a bit.

    20-19 Vic.

This fight is becoming more of a wrestling match.

    Round 2

Darchinyan is throwing wild lefts, straight and roundabout on the way in. The right is floating out as a perennial wavy rangefinder and vision obstruction. Del Valle cuffs a few hooks around to the base of Darchinyan's neck. Wild overhand left by Darchinyan, and Del Valle finds the mark with a counter right. Del Valle follows up with a couple of hooks. CompuBox has Darchinyan outlanding Del Valle 20 to 10 this round. I'm not sure that's trustworthy. Wild flurry by Darchinyan, all haymakers over the top. Del Valle covers up and shoots straight out with counters between Darchinyan's swings.

Another close one. Could be split or 2-0 either way.

    20-18 Del Valle

Is Del Valle saving it up?

    I can't see his power.

VD looks better tonite than in a while. Methinks he could take this tonite.

    Round 3

Darchinyan is loading up on the 1-2, soaring in and nearly losing his balance, not placing his lead foot too well. Del Valle is getting sloppy himself, landing a counter right to the nose but staying inside and getting clubbed. Uppercut by Darchinyan. Del Valle is trying to hold Darchinyan around the neck and gets hooked in the body at a downward slope, taking the starch out of him. Clinch. Break. Darchinyan flurries with a few light straights, setting the table. Del Valle is getting caught by the right jab as it waves up in his face while trying to clinch. Darchinyan is missing the left cross/overhand but getting closer with it. CompuBox has this round closer but still well in Darchinyan's favor at 20-13. More clinch fighting.

    10-9 Darchinyan

    29-28 Del Valle
