Khan lost to a home town Ref vs PEDerson and Was winning vs Garcia until one punch...

Peterson won that fight fairly in the ring. Unfortunately he tested positive also. But i dont think that was enough to give him an edge to victory. It was a style change midfight that changed the dynamics of the fight into Peterson's favor. Peds dont do that for you loll.

Khan is over-confident and over-eager, and seems like he doesnt want to respect his opponents, though he seems to have low punch resistance on the jaw. His over-confidence and lack of respect seems to be his downfall every time in the ring. That can't be excused away....

Agree that he beat Peterson but there was no luck in Garcia KO'ing him.

Garcia was tagging Khan with beastly shots throughout the fight. They say that timing is what beats speed and this was a crystal clear example of exactly that.

Khan is very exciting to watch, lots of speed, power and output but for all his athleticism, the guy is defensively flawed. It would appear to be the fate of Freddie Roach's stable that the lack of defense contributes to a fighters downfall (Linares, Khan and probably, Pacquiao....).

Khan's gone for Virgil Hunter entirely because of the "Ward factor." Unfortunately however, it might well be too late in Khan's career to start making significant style adjustments. I'd say there's definitely potential, but the inexperience of having to adopt a new style when fighting at an elite level might well once again prove to be Khan's undoing, albeit in less dramatic fashion...

 

Khan wasn't winning **** vs Garcia!! What a load of ****.

Garcia was outboxing him from round 1 and timing him. Khan only won the first 2 rounds on workrate, the better work was being done by Garcia. He kept calm and relaxed and countered Khan with the more significant punches while Khan bounced around and threw a hundred pity pats to bank the rounds. Garcia would come back with a good solid counter to nearly every pitty pat flurry Khan threw and Garcia was investing in some good body work. You could tell from round 1 that Garcia looked more comfortable in there and felt it was just a matter of time before he picked it up and started taking it to Khan. Winning 2 rounds by throwing a shitload of pitty pat flurries counts for absolutely nothing, Garcia emphatically won the next 2 rounds and the first 2 were actually pretty close in clean EFFECTIVE punches. Not to mention since the first 30 seconds of that fight Garcia was throwing that same left hook, you know the one he's known for and previously knocked out several fighters with including a KD over Morales with it in his previous fight? Yeah luck hahaha about as lucky as Mayweathers check hook on Hatton.

I'm convinced that people that say Khan was dominating the first 2 rounds have only seen the fight once live and bought into the bias commentary. Garcia lands the mor eisgnificant shots in the first 2 rounds as well. Go watch that **** again.

Garcia was totally comfortable in there and once he timed amir it was all over, it'll be even easier in a rematch to do the same thing. Garcia KO's Khan 100 out of 100 times.

 

I like how you make mention of the point deductions that shouldn't have happened and conveniently forget that Amir was gifted a KD in that fight as well.

these are the same people that ***** about Garcia not rematching Khan immediately despite beating the living **** out of the guy and brutalizing him. also despite Khan not giving a rematch to Maidana or even pursuing one with his original daddy Prescott. Khan fanboys are bonkers.

I had Khan ahead in Peterson fight, but it realistically could have gone either way. Yes, Peterson is a drugs cheat, but Amir and his fans need to stop being such bitches and let it go. The Garcia fight went 4 rounds and suddenly it was luck that Garcia landed.

You can coddle his blistering speed, athleticism and combination punching all you want, but these are irrefutable facts: Amir has a glass jaw and abysmal defense, coupled with an awful attitude.
