    it was a good solid win, nothing more. i had bernard losing the first mercado fight which was a year after jones. having had a little more experience going into that fight you'd think he would of beat mercado pretty easily. no, never happened.

    hopkins was nowhere near the fighter he would later become. i know you like to try and make out that that win was great because of your love for roy, but it ain't happening. as i say, good win, nothing more.

    saying that the older, but much much better version of hopkins, would lose in a more clearer fashion to that version of jones, tells me you're not thinking straight in any way shape or form.

    if he'd of won those fights, then absolutely. but he didn't. he had more gift decisions than most.
