Kelly Pavlik was the undefeated MW Champion of the world and one of the bigger stars in Boxing. Hopkins was considered old after the Calzaghe fight.

hell no, it wasn't. not with all the other guys in the division that dawson hadn't fought. i know the americans like to distort **** for their own fighters, but this is bull****.

dawson has never been lineal, and he never will be. neither has pascal.

 

So tell me then, which guys at the moment were top 3 at 175?

 

anyone of these guys could be the number one. they have to fight each other first to see who is THE champ. i don't care who people have as 1, 2, 3 etc etc

take your pick. he lost to hopkins so it doesn't matter. hopkins then lost to dawson.

the last lineal champ at the weight was joe calzaghe. there hasn't been one since.

doesn't look like there will be either. dawson has avoided cloud for god knows how long. shuminov and hopkins have refused to get in there with cleverly.

they all need to fight to sort this crap out.

Ok, this is going too far. Basically I agree to SJS19, to me Hopkins resume is better than Joes. But again, its not objective. Its just how I see things. Also between those picks about whois resume is the best - in my mind theres no doubt that Pernell resume is just far superior. After him there is Pac and Lennox.

no, hopkins didn't become lineal after beating pascal. had he of beaten dawson, then i could see him as the lineal champ. but he didn't beat dawson, he lost.

i have calzaghe as having the better resume. not by a huge amount or anything, but still better.
joes five top wins are better than bernards five top wins. :deal

lennox lewis' resume pisses on pernells. no doubt about it.
