Stop trolling my thread with nonsense. There was nothing lucky about Lewis stopping Vitali. Lennox is a fighter and he threw a punch that landed and caused the cut, and it was a horrific one at that.

    Get over it.

And used the inside of his glove to make it worse. If you dont want to get varied opinions on your thread dont create one.

There still was nothing lucky about the win. A boxer hits a guy in the face making him bleed is not "luck".

I suppose not, but had there been no cut i didn't see Lewis coasting to a victory.

At that time Vitali had faced adversity in his career only once & had quit, Lewis had dug deep & won many difficult fights.

After being outboxed in the first 3 rounds Lewis dragged Vitali into the trenches & was beating him up.

I dont see Vitali rallying & turning the fight round even if he wasnt cut.

Vits career would have been ended had that fight not been stopped.

Getting your ass kicked for 6 rounds shouldn't really be considered your second biggest victory unless your resume is pretty ****.

no cuts victory will ever impress me unless the fighter was clearly winning. Not almost being knocked down twice and only winning 2 rounds.

Beating Tyson was huge even though Tyson was past it.

I agree . Its a tarnished victory especially when he was trailing behind.

Vitali's safety was in question. The stoppage was spot on.

i dont think his contemporaries thought he was great until he rematched Rahman and beat Tyson that solidified his name
