Oh, I forgot that analyzing a legacy or a resume on ESB means that defeats, even bad ones, can only boost a resume because that means they fought everyone automatically.

Hasim Rahman = ATG and top resume of the past 25 years
    Lennox Lewis X2
    Evander Holyfield
    Wladimir Klitschko
    Alexander Povetkin
    Corrie Sanders
    James Toney X2
    David Tua X2
    John Ruiz
    Oleg Maskaev X2

Jesus, look at those names. Rahman wins this poll hands down if you would have included him, dude...

Except that's not what I meant. I meant that the opinion of most people are that Pacquaio got the better resume, Floyd is the better fighter.

Very few people agree with you that Floyd's resume is better.
Boxing Pundits disagree, boxing experts disagree. The majority of posters on various boxing sites disagree. Now if the opinions were 50-50, or even 60-40 you can make a good case.

But when it's 95-5 and you are the 5, it's hard to make a case.

Ya that's strange..... especially on this site, I thought there was a lot of Pac Hate going on. I thought the top 3 was going to be Whitakker, Pacquaio and Holyfield-Lewis, but with Pernell and Pac neck to neck.

There are a lot of lists from various boxing writers. I think the ESB Classics list was pretty good, despite it made up by posters only.

You brought up a good point, though. I said HOLYFIELD in this thread, I think just to **** around with turbo. I wouldn't rate any of them over Pernell on an ATG list, however. Then again, I factor in skills and ability where possible. In some cases, it kind of isn't.. which is why I don't make lists anymore either, really.

Any list with charles, pea, and walker scraping by the top 30 is pure ****. B Sugar would be proud.

Wilde was a little wazoo high for me there too, though I didn't want to clump him with bitching about the likes of Dempsey and Johnson, who I, honestly, don't think beat a better heavyweight than the 38-year-old Holmes that Tyson took out. Really. Gene Tunney couldn't even see having a black sparring partner -- I really couldnt give a **** about him, honestly. Meanwhile, his smaller ring nemesis Greb fought ANYBODY.

I have all 3 of those ATGs comfortably in my top 20. Not a big fan of heavies being in p4p lists besides Ali and Louis. And fuxking walker and charles deserve top 10dom before Wilde IMO

that's the dirtiest, shittiest, nastiest list i've ever had the misfortune to look at.

    Ted "kid" lewis
    Bob fitzsimmons

are greater than most on that list. to have all those heavyweights above Lennox lewis is too stupid. but then again, it is an american list. and they're the most overblown, grotesque pieces of an abomination that you'll ever see. the bias is worth nothing more than a straight thinking persons contempt.

Yeah, I cannot rate him higher than either SRR or Henry regardless of his record. Robinson is so ****ing evident; Henry was arguably the greatest inside fighter ever (I got Duran) and has some of the most unique achievements ever plus the record.

    :deal

btw, that was a shitty list. Charles at #26? Johnson at #12??? I love Pep, but he has one of the worst resumes for any ATG...
My top five - Charles, SRR, Leonard, Ali, Armstrong. Based on 45% ability/skill, 40% resume/top victories, 15% achievements/dominance/streaks.
