IB Funfact: this is at least the 2nd (maybe 3rd) time in their careers these two have been rumored to be under negotiations to meet. Most recently was late 2011, and if I'm not mistaken there may have been a chance of it earlier than that as well (possibly during JT's title reign)

I'm picking a doctor for Taylor. Just texted him a phone number he can call. Good neurologist here in Dallas. Fixed up Troy Aikman after his numerous (11?) concussions.

Taylor spanks Munoz, but if for some reason he fights Ishe Smith, even a shot to hell version of Taylor beats Ishe. I like Smith, but the only thing he's got on most fighters is craftiness, and Taylor has seen it all.

I don't know man, Truax caught him flush a few times and while he's a vastly inferior boxer he's probably a harder hitter than Smith.

I'm not exactly optimistic about Jermain continuing his pro campaign at this point and do share your concerns about his health - but as tough, skilled, and hard-working as Smith is he isn't packing dynamite. I mean, he did fail to put away Chumo Garcia... and not for lack of trying. 37% KO rate, nahmsaying? If Taylor is going to trudge on, which he seems determined to do, this type of match-up is probably safest (at least from a neurological damage standpoint, not necessarily risk of loss)

Even if Smith's as on as he was that night against Guerrero?

...and against the same version of Taylor that ran into a few whoopsy-daisy moments against the king of the Midwestern rodeo, freaking Golden Axe?

yeah, im seeing that. Taylor may be able to outbox Smith round by round and win a decision BUT....
i think his recent Out of Prime beatings have paid their toll and now he's weakened. I think he's primed for a stoppage even by a late Ishe Smith...

OK, things might be settling this way...

Ishe is now posting about "taking someone's zero" and punishing them for "disrespecting the sport" (possibly a jab at Henry stating he was going to quit boxing for MMA and calling it a dead scene a while back?)
