Bolonti's first fight outside of Argentina. Decent record but slightly untested in my opinion. a good KO% though only lost once and should be a cracking fight. Got my tickets already so really looking forward to it.
Just browsing through his record (obviously ive never seen him) it looks padded!, he's 33, and has not ventured above domestic level (South American/Latin), on paper he looks nailed on for Bellew On the plus side he's knocked out or stopped 13 of his last 15 opponents, after a run of decisions early on, so clearly he's in a direction now, overall record 30 & 1 (19 KO's) Interesting, a puncher vs a puncher
First thought is padded record and only thought in Argentina, got tickets already so looking forward to it still
Eddie clearly likes his mandatory status, so its gonna be 2 or 3 fights before we see Tony as a #1 mandatory challenger with any of the bodies Not a bad thing that IMO, just having a chuckle at the boxrec rankings at LHW who have Bellew #4, and also looking through the division after the obvious Stateside names, its looking thin, really thin ...........
Im also gonna add i was and still am (but a lot less) sceptical of Eddie Hearn, but im warming to this guy and the way he's doing business, he's getting fighters out, thats the main thing, obviously we all wanna see the best man fight the best man available every single time out, sadly them times are long long gone, we have been in a recent time of promoters just not being able to get there guys out for "what ever" reasons!!!, well Mr. Hearn is trying his best, yes he's naive in the sport of boxing, but ill tell you what the man is trying :good
Never heard of him tbh. Frank has his TTGs and Eddie seems to love his Argies. The fella Purdy fought, Saldivia for Brook and now this. Eddie talks about giving the fans fights they want to see but this isn't one of them. This is Eddie playing at the rankings game. Fair play to him but at least admit that's what it is. And WBC eliminators don't usually count for much anyway.
Decent follow up opponent after Miranda, I like the way Hearn is working with Bellew. Hopefully, should he come through unscathed, the Braemer-Gutneckht winner will be next.
How can anyone dislike Bellew as a person. He has to fight people above him in order to move up the rankings and in terms of interest he is unfortunate that not many casual fans will no many of the boxers above him so what else can he do. He knows he isnt ready just yet for a world title fight apart from the Welsh paper champion but that wont happen. Good fight.
