I disagree with that assertion completely.

Physically stronger? Absolutely, Floyd. Trout may be bigger, but in a sumo match I'd tip PBF.

Austin don't throw down no 3-a-days. :bart

The difference between Floyd's high guard and most everyone else's is that he is very adept at transitioning it to his philly shell from mid or close range, which enabled him to block a lot of Cotto's hooks in close and counter with his free hand, and Mosley as well once he switched over to the high guard once he got clocked in the second.

Trout does no such things from what I've gathered and IMO Cotto will have no problems penetrating his guard with his hooks and jabs.

Again I disagree. Floyd is strong but I believe Trout is easily stronger than him. Sumo has to do with leverage and center of gravity, of course a smaller guy who can get lower will benefit in that. LOL.

Tug of war Trout, benching Trout, weight pulling Trout.

    These are my beliefs though.

Is Floyd supremely conditioned and have monster stamina. Yes, Trout has pretty good stamina himself, never seen him gassed in any of his matches that have gone the distance.

The best answer will be on fight night.

But I think people will be surprised with how clealry Trout dominates Cotto

Floyd isn't strong at all. Cotto was pushing him off his spots pretty easily...but Cotto is just so basic and lacking of wrinkles that he couldn't take advantage of a flat footed Floyd in front of him. He'll have to look for a bigger faster opponent.

You realize when Floyd goes to the ropes, he doesn't do so unwillingly...right?

Considering he's a natural super feather, I'd say his strength - having carried through intact and still able to hold up against current peers, all the way up at light middle - is downright ant-like.

Mane.. Cotto winning this fight.... if Trout is smart he would box and stick to boxing the entire fight.. but Cotto has confidence after giving Floyd a good fight and beating Margarito.. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he KO's Trout... and that's being honest and not partial

no, its because cotto is 5'6". canelo is 5'7". pbf 5'8".

jmw is normally between 5'9" and 6'0".

both cotto and pbf are not prime jmw's but are so by choice. trout and most jmw's can beat cotto because they will be the bigger fighter.

this coming from a guy that has nothing but good to say about miguel cotto and what he is to boxing.

what he isnt is a jmw.

Floyd doesn't have KO power/ or more power than Cotto.. but he is stronger than Trout in the sense of how he uses his strength in the ring... as IB said, Mayweather was a Super FW and Ko'ing the likes of Corrales and Corley... the fact he is at JMW and still holding fenders off with his high guard and walking fighters like Cotto and Mosley down shows his strength.. he uses his strength as opposed to Trout

No one said Floyd wasn't strong, but again he doesn't walk people down on strength, he pressures them with his defense and ability to counter.

Trout is talking about physically bodying up Cotto, and honestly I don't see how people can deny that. At times Margarito was able to do that in the 2nd fight.

Trout is bigger, stronger, and faster than Cotto. I have no doubt that if he wants to he can get on the inside and walk Cotto back.
