Abner Mares should be an example for other fighters like canelo

    On an interview for ESPN he mentioned he wants to be remembered as someone who never ducked anyone and fought nothing but the best, thats why hes fihgting Moreno. He also says hes the champ and has to defend his title agaist the best.

    i didnt like him very much before with his low blows and stuff but this deserves my support.

    unlike others like Canelo fighting shot fighters or 140 pounders. :verysad

    Canelo will prove Mares wrong very soon...when he challenges him in the ring for the jr MW belt.

    Thats funny because Canelo hasn't needed help from the refs like Mares needed to get the robbery over Agbeko in their first fight.

    Mares deserves serious respect, he could of taken the Canelo route but is challenging himself with a very high risk low reward opponent.

    Canelito can get all the $$$$, but real boxing fans will not respect him until he steps up in comp. Hopefully that will happen soon.

    Why you gonna need help fighting a natural 140 lb fighter? Besides Mares had a rematch and left no questions on who the better fighter was. Did you forget. Don't make it seem as though that ref was on Mares payroll, that ref stole Mares shine, He didn't need a ref siding with him as he proved in the rematch.

    I got respect for Mares, even though at times he is a outright cheater with his low blows.

    Can't wait to see Moreno put on a clinic though.
