Would have been a decent fight. I think if McCall was in the right shape mentally as well as physically he could get a win via decision. McCall has one of the most solid chins ever so would be able to take the power punches from George you would think. As the fight went on McCall would start winning rounds and pull in front in the last 3.
George's jab is too good, and while he's not the boxer Holmes is, he was more consistent in the 90's. I can't picture George dropping a decision here. I think he wins 7-5, 8-4 range.
If sharp (like when he fought Lewis , Seldon , Maskaev , Ferguson and probably others that i just could not get those others) , McCall stops every version of 4man / Lewis / Bowe / Vitali / Wladimir . 10 rds were enough 4 a not sharp McCall 2 KO Akinwande .
i assume u watched d actual fights that i referred 2 . i assume u know about 4man being open 2 a right counter assumed u had some grasp of McCall's punch resistance and his own power and that sometimes , he was sharp , and that post u quoted tells when he was sharp although those were not d only times he was sharp in fights . and yet , like always , u come with a **** reply 2 these predictions did u watch McCall vs Tucker or McCall vs Norris ? no1 knows anything about these fights .
I read on some your post that you were regular sparring partner to old George Foreman.Did he trained hard in his second career and did get full power on his sparring partners?
McCall would have his moments but McCall wasn't an aggressive fighter... especially against top HWs. Foreman wouldn't drop him but he had enough power to disrupt McCall. Foreman W12
I sparred George early on in his comeback, before he became champion. He beat the **** out of us, man. When he and I faced off a bit later, I heard that had changed quite a bit, but I can't confirm it.
hard to say....alex stewart who had avery shaky chin but up george very badly..if it wasnt for those 2 knockdowns ...stewart would have won....mccall wouldnt be put down..again its hard to say
I say Foreman wins a UD. 8-4 area, he'd use him jab and occasion power to keep McCall off of his game. McCall just didn't seem to have the ability to adapt in fights. I'd have like to see Foreman vs Holyfield II with Foreman using a convential hands up defense instead of the Cross arm defense he used. He was to slow at throwing punches while in that defense. I think the fight would have been more interesting and closer than the first fight we saw.
