I think I'm one of the "sort of" guys.

 

The problem is we overrated Bute. What makes things worse is that Bute underperformed considerably on a night when Froch also happened to have an absolute blinder! Bute isn't as good as we thought he was, but he isn't as bad as he was on the night against Froch either. How good is he really? We'll see during the rematch.

 

Bute wasn't overrated, an he is great boxer/puncher, he just took home fights his whole career, no doubt looked passed froch by signing to fight him in england first, an he found out the hard way what a home town can do to change a fight, i say froch in a rematch in canada would not be the same out come. Froch, if he had ward in there that night, i don't think ward hears the final bell either,:good

 

Yes, he was. I never expected Bute to:-

- freeze as much
- get outboxed so easily
- get caught so easily with big rights again and again
- not move and not box
- go against the ropes and stay there once hurt, waiting to be hurt again
- place all his eggs in one basket, going in with a stupid strategy, and stick to it

 

This is it, he froze, it happens. He was used to home fights his whole career, this first time he was out of his element. Like i posted, i say ward would of been stopped that night....

Ahhh Lucian Bute. The guy who was so overhyped because he knocked out bums his whole career and when he finally stepped up, he got KTFO. Sounds like a current middleweight boxer running around.
