im sure my brother mentioned something about it being against a career middleweight and kimbo being schooled for the whole contest til he managed to land and spark the guy

Would anybody else like to see the knuckle game sanctioned and organized ? Don't know why but I've all ways enjoyed watching the fights and reading about the old timers Like Sullivan, Mace, Dempsey, Mendoza and the rest doing battle with their bare hands in finish fights, atleast nobody ever got robbed by the judges

 

It has been sanctioned again.. with doctors and ref's, the lot. They have a belt, Bobby Gunn is the first BKB Heavyweight champ since John L. Sullivan. Sure Jamesy was in the Star a while ago talkin about it. Something about a tournament aswell.

 

Thing is any decent traveller boxer will either stay in the am game or go pro ! All the good ones dont bare knuckle box !

James Quinn-McDonagh's fight with Bobby Gunn was for the BKB Heavyweight world belt. Check the videos on Youtube of Bobby Gunn talkin about it. He's the first Heavyweight champ since Sullivan. They made a point about it being safer than Boxing.

 

Yeah my Uncle said that about if being safer, he's into BKB. Did a bit years ago and i think is in the Facebook groups pushing it.

 

Of course it is.. sure, compare BKB and MMA. Plus, gloves aren't designed to protect the other fella's head, they're designed to protect your hands. Add 8oz/10oz to a punch.
