Enzo Calzaghe: Ward's trainer must be punch drunk

Joe was 36 . He wasn't old. Hopkins was in great from at that age.

 

Any one time which you are referring to ward's chin getting hurt must of been a long time ago and ward must of been very young and nowhere near as skilled and synchronized as he is today. He's fought the best he can fight and they never hurt his chin so its shows his progress and were his chin is today.

Calzaghe is fast but i think ward is right with him in speed and he's more accurate and its gone a take more than high volume fast slaps to beat ward.

Ward doesn't need to wrestle joe against the ropes he could sit on his chest in the middle of the ring and win rounds. Ward is better than joe on the inside and he par's punches and works the body great and set traps i think he's smarter than joe already and were are comparing ward who's 28/29 and still fresh in his career and not peaked to someone who's finished there career just after there middle 30's. Were was joe at 29 years old was he as good as ward, ward would of took 29 year old joe apart.

Ward know's how to win rounds he adapt very well and joe can adapt too which would make the fight great. Ward's jab would be on high use and it would help slow down joe. Relentless pressure and aggression was dealt with by dominance by ward when he fought froch, ward's stamina is good he could hang with joe till the 12th but i could see it maybe taking a toll on ward near the end.

Joe's unbalanced footwork kind of like martinez' footwork would get him dropped by ward in my opinion, i don't think he would be hurt but i see him getting dropped. Ward's got the better footwork and ward would have to use his legs to be on the move and hit and move vs joe and make joe lose the first 2 rounds so he plays catch up and comes to ward and joe's not great in the early rounds, that's were hopkins and jones both dropped him. He can take a few rounds to get in the rhythm but ward needs to make it ugly maybe head butt joe make him rattled mess with his mind and make joe have to come to him and ward can take advantage of that.

ward's chin is iron and so is floyd's they don't get tagged much so people don't get to see how good the chin's are but when they do get hit and if the get hurt they always deal with it like a tough chin should and that's by not getting dropped and coming back and winning the fight. Floyd showed his tough chin vs mosley. Couldn't floor him and after that he got dominated for every round after. It's like he made floyd mad

I would take Super Joe on points. You do not beat a prime Calzaghe, unless you ko him. Feather fisted ward only does that to weight drained fighters.

 

36 is old for Joe's style.
Attacking lots of punches.

40 for bhop's style isn't old.
Ie walking around throwing right hands with ur head down and holding 5 times a round.

I think Ward would be the best fighter Calzage faced but then again Calzage would be the best Ward has faced....I think Calzage takes the close decision but IMO Ward is heading to greatness as well but it may be in the 175lb division...as of now a close win for JC

Bhop slowed considerably, he threw more and worked harder when younger. He lost a lot too from getting older.

Its not Bernards fault that Calzaghe is too limited a boxer to adapt and change.
