Are you missing the point that I also showed other pictures (before camp, weigh in)? Or did you just conveniently ignore that?

Barker also weighed only 168 on fight night, and he's a natural middleweight. What's your point?

Good find (though, I can only imagine if it was martinez that was an inch taller and 3lbs heavier youd be shouting from the building tops what an unfair advantage martinez had in size)

Wtf? Is that wishful thinking on your part? They are similarly sized. Martinez gave up the height advantage and Barker gave up the reach advantage. It happens in boxing. Plus, 3 pounds is the difference between taking a **** and not taking a ****, it's inconsequential.

It's not that friend. It's that you implied that I'd hate on Martinez because he had a 3 pound advantage. I'm not that bad. :rasta

Canelo sold out the MGM and broke showtimes ratings record on the same and just a few blocks away from Chavez vs Martinez and he was fighting Joseito Lopez.

Canelo is a cash cow and huge draw. Put him in vs Martinez and he 'd do better ratings andmoney wise.

Ward said draining to 160 would not be good for his career

He is more than happy for it to happen 175

Mayweather was 149 30 days out vs Ortiz. That's a small fighter. Not a light heavyweight fighting at middleweight.

Compared to Floyd and Manny, he is enormous. He's like 30 lbs of physical strength and size bigger than either guy...he is not a small middleweight.

Maybe compared to Pac, but not Floyd. I don't expect Floyd to ever go above 154, but if Martinez went there, no reason for it not to happen. Floyd should fight either Pac or Martinez, or just retire. Besides, Floyd had no problems facing JMM, who was a LW right before. Sometimes to chase greatness, you take risks. Unless, of course, you only want easier money fights. Seems to be where Floyd is at, and has been for a few years now. Shame really.
Anyway, to get back on topic  Martinez isn't a young pup that can just keep on moving up in weight. He's obviously maxed at 160. The move to 168 would be great IMHO.

Won't lie.. I don't think he beats Money at 154 but at 160 i think Money takes the L hard...... but Cotto wouldn't survive past 9 against Martinez and Canelo (at this point) won't last past 7.. Lara would maybe last til 9.. everyone else at 154 honestly doesn't last 5... PERIOD

Must also add.... I have no rpoblem with Serg trying to fight May or Cotto at 154... but if he wants to cement himself as an ATG.. then he would have to beat a Ward, Froch, or Bute at 168 or maybe clear out 160 (GGG, Pirog, Geale, and others).. i don't think beating Mayweather woul dod it.. but if he wants to be p4p number 1 and get paid... Mayweather at 154 makes sense.....

Mind you Ward is still p4p ahed of him so beating Mayweather might just elevate Ward to the spot tbh..... but I still don't knock him for going for Mayweather at 154
