If YOU were Joe Calzaghe, would you come out of retirement to fight Andre Ward?

I'm not Joe's biggest fan, but it's not practical to come back anymore.

Would make sense had he been out for just a year.

But he's been gone for long now, he has aged as well, and his gifts may have left him completely.

Better just tell Ward to reach 46-0 and ask "you mad bro?" :D

if its a fact then why wouod you need to say its one?

You have a right to an opinion, however, no worries.

Your opinion, not a fact. Calzaghe never outclassed anybody, he out worked them. Ward's skill and technique is leagues better than Joe's.

Ward has enough power. Enough to get Froch's respect and bust up his face. Bute is known to hit hard and Froch walked right through those shots.

Zaghes did outclass others, but only crap fighters. He never outclassed a good boxer.

However he did make up for lack of skill with awesome workrate, he had olympian fitness noone can deny that.

Calzaghes resume is so incredibly thin the only thing he has going for him is retiring with a 0.
Now to risk this 0 there would have to be HUGE money to risk that legacy.

Ward would be incredibly difficult even in Joe's prime and personally i think style wise he just does not matchup that favourebly.
But the most important factor is that Ward is not THAT big of a draw, he does not generate that much money.

So this is a gigantic risk for little reward outside of a huge legacy boost, and Joe has already shown through his career that legacy is not that big of a factor for him.

Why the **** should he bother? Calzaghe has had his day. Retired undefeated and has nothing left to prove.

Yes it's a calculated risk, calzaghe beats him and ends all conversation of Andre being the greatest super middleweight ever, he loses and he is no.2 at worst.

So this is pretty much your way of admitting you have no idea what to say regarding Calzaghe's absolute schooling of the 'mini mike tyson' Jeff Lacy, so you resort to petty insults :yep

Of course not, Joe has nothing to prove. He dominated his era, and made the step up to LHW and became champion in that division. Joe beat Kessler and Hopkins back to back, meaning that he beat the best fighters at 168 and 175 one after the other, there's nothing more to say.
