Most of those you listed are 'proper' light heavyweights.

I was amazed at how well Julian timed a punch and saw the opening prior to the punch.

Peerless. Some people envision him as a slugger, but he picked his punches and could release his shot very, very quickly for the amount of force it carried.

Exactly, watching his knockouts after they happened was almost surreal. With a guy like Mugabi you could see him breaking his opponent down, but Julian's opponents were usually fighting well and then they were hit and on their back. Something else.

Definitely something else. Hardest puncher ever IMO.

He wasn't unlucky, he was mightily careless. The ref was going to stop the fight at the end of that round, and Herol knew that, yet he still walked in carelessly

I think he's the best ever, easily would have schooled Benn, he certainly performed several levels above Watson's level against McCallum and Watson outboxed Eubank, so levels wise I think he's the best of that lot.

There's obviously Minter and Turpin but Graham is a better boxer than both for me

    1. JC never made the 160lb limit
    2. Eubank and Benn were glorified World/Euro champs at MW to a degree, they were certainly fighting lesser opposition than McCallum and Kalambay.

But yea beating Doug Dewitt obviously makes some high echelon lineage

I never understood the idea that Jackson was in some peril in the fourth round of a title fight. Yes he was behind and was being thoroughly outboxed but I don’t recall him wobbling around the ring or getting knocked down. To stop it would have been dodgy.

Julian couldn’t catch Herol by going on the offense so he used one of the oldest tricks in the book — go to the corner and make him come to you. Bomber took the bait and walked right into the trap. With the Hawk set up in that corner and Herold right in front of him, Julian accomplished what he couldn’t by tracking Graham down … a target standing right in range.

Basically, Jackson lured him right into the crosshairs and pulled the trigger.
