Debatable but I can see your logic behind it, what impressed me most is the way he beat Mitchell, he done what Mitchell's tactics probably was, stay on the outside and box your way in, going into the fight I thought Mitchell might have the edge in skill and as a boxer puncher style of fighting. I was wrong.
Cleverly. Look at the names he's been linked with; Dawson, Pascal, Froch, Hopkins. That's p4p material. Does Ricky Burns even have a maths degree?
Burns, but it's not "by a mile", people have started drinking the Frank Kool-Aid since the Mitchell fight, (mitchell is not very good), both of them are typicle Frank fighters, Burns has beaten marginally better opposition though
Who is better? - Burns Best potential? - Burns although that's down to Clev being in a marginally tougher division and the jump between LHW and CW makes it extremely difficult to become a 2 weight champion. Best champion? - Burns as he's fought at a higher level. I consider Clev to be at the stage Burns was at after Cook. He's had easy defences and its time to chase the bigger fights.
If we're keeping it fair he only got a "desmond" so he's hardly Carl Friedrich Gauss. Probably only just nailed how to write "Boobless" on a hexadecimal calculator.
Ricky Burns by far for me. Arguably Cleverly could potentially do very well however he is stagnating and seems to be happy to stay at this level.
