Anyone left? Not a very smart comment. There is always boxing in PR. With a small island like PR is expected to have highs and lows. Not everyone coming up will be a star.

Dulorme is Rican. He has said that many times. He is simply of Dominican Ancestry.

Thomas Dulorme: I Will Be a Champion For Puerto Rico

Undefeated welterweight prospect Thomas Dulorme (14-0, 11 KO's), who returns to the stage on June 14 at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City, said he was not surprised to be ranked third in the world under the WBC and WBA - and added that when he becomes champion - he will represent Puerto Rico.

"I'll be world champion for Puerto Rico, which has given me everything I have and made me what I am. This is very serious. It's a really beautiful island that I owe my life, and my career, despite not having been born here but I consider myself a Puerto Rican. I was born in St. Maarten, Virgin Islands, 30 minutes from here. And my parents are Dominican, but does not mean that if I win a title I will go to the Dominican Republic or St. Maarten to celebrate. I will come to Puerto Rico to celebrate with my family where I lived as a child," Dulorme said.

And in an analogy about his nationality, several former champions and current champions of Puerto Rican descent were not born in Puerto Rico, as is the case of Wilfredo "El Radar" Benitez and Miguel Cotto, who were born in America.

Dulorme is trained by Jose Bonilla and said says he is ready to fight for the world crown but argued that his handlers are the ones to decide when he fights for the title.

    -This is from the scene.

nobody said he's a beast thats inevitably gonna clean out the 147 weight class, they're just saying that based on his skillset he's got alot of potential. which i agree

Puerto Rico is a tiny island that you can drive from one end to the other in 1 day.

An island of 3 million people....with a huge rivalry with a country of 105 million. (Mexico)

    You do the math dickheads.

PR boxing will always be around. Our little island might not have the most champions, but we will always have champions.

Mexico doesn't even care about boxing, they only like soccer. Only like 2 towns in the entire country have legit boxing gyms.

Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic are part of the Caribean you imbecile. Their culture is based on African roots, not Indian and Spanish roots.

Look at the pot calling the kettle black.

Now listen hear Christopher Columbus, back in the 1490's you and your guys sailed towards America, in the name of queen Fernando and king Isabel (we all know who the real man of the house was) and the first territories he discovered where in the caribbean.

Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic, where part of Spain, making them latin America. In reality, all french, spanish, and portuguese territories are technically latinamericans, I hope I dont have to explain this to you, but the french territories like Haiti and Guadaloupe sometimes get dissed and not included by the predominantly spanish speaking countries.
