Christ, this is the "big announcement"? Pitiful. This Coyne guy has barely ever fought a 12 rounder let alone anyone decent.

Personally i am not a fan of this fight, however from Cleverley's point of view its a very good fight. The guy was in the contender which should have decent viewing figures & will have good support from the show. He will gain a lot of exposure from this, which if he fights well could put him in the mix with Hopkins etc.

The big announcement was always the location and not the opponent.

I don't care about the opponent at this stage. He's there to make Cleverly looked good on US TV with Hopkins sitting ringside. The Hopkins fight is virtually a done deal.

Shumenov on Showtime can easily be made too.

Anyone who isn't Clev's mum that defends this fight probably enjoys the drama of watching grass grow.

The best thing about Cleverley are the reactions on this board to his opponents & fights.

I find everything about him hilarious and long may it continue.

His fight against Karpency was one of the funniest things (for all the wrong reasons) ive seen in a long time. These boards were on fire before and after.

    War Coyne!

Dont Showtime usually only show 3 fights live?

Santa Cruz, Mares and Angulo are on the card so....

This place might explode if they left him to the highlights lol

This year they've done 2 quadrupleheaders and have another scheduled for that Golden Boy NY card ( Garcia/Morales II the headliner).

Coyne's last fight was on a small hall show in Sheffield.
