What do you think guys? Piispanen is very tricky and has some nice skills so I think Daws has to start fast. Piispanen is a great starter but somehow he manages to lose his focus too often when the fight goes on. Daws should try to get Piispanen out of his rhythm as soon as possible. Piispanen can't handle pressure too well but if Daws lets Piispanen to do his thing it could be a hard night for a hometown fighter.. Greetings from Finland!! Piispanen with a nice ko: [ame]www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6jJj0RZMSA[/ame]
Lenny start fast? No chance Consu watched Lenny as a AM (trained in together at times) and his brother Luke was always the faster starter. Lenny takes a bit of time to get that engine going but once it does it's a goer. Lenny's not in his peak, he's near the end but seems to be back winning and happy. He's a very fundamental based fighter, on toes, left followed by a right and hooks to head and body. Plenty of workrate and digs but isn't concussive. Likes to circle, and slow his opponents down with non stop work rate. Tough fight for both men but will side with Lenny on this one.
Seen a few stare down pics but thats it, id be more excited if i knew whether we are gonna get the chance to watch it or not.
WAR Ville! :smooch I have a feeling that Piispanen will start brilliantly and gets an early lead but Daws takes over in mid rounds and cruises to the close but clear victory. Piispanen is very slick and skillful.. He looks very often superb in early rounds but then somehow loses his focus and his quality of work drops dramatically. Daws is the one who is supposed to win this so I'm kinda interest how he will figure Piispanen out. I wouldn't be surprised if Piispanen makes him look silly in early rounds. If Piispanen is able to keep up his tempo whole fight there might be a BIG chance for an upset :good But what I have seen he often gasses in the mid rounds so Daws workrate will take over if that happens. This will be a good fight. Piispanen is nice to watch with his slick style and Daws pressure style is kinda entertaining too :good Piispanen captured the same title 2 years ago in Italy. He beat up the hometown fighter pretty bad and Italiano didn't come out for the fifth round
Yeah i liked what i saw in vid you posted, Lenny is a slow starter as well so Ville will i think prove you right. Lenny likes to get a sweat up then go through the gears, that's when i hope he turns the tide and outworks your man. We shall see, I really hope these lads get some airtime on Channel 5. Gonna be a good fight :good.
Lenny wins on points, sadly saw nothing, NOTHING. Because channel 5 wanted us to watch Euwank Jnr punch a Latvian for 8 rounds. Disgusted..
Congrats! :respect Shame that they didn't show the fight. I heard it was a pretty good and competive fight.
Thanks Consu :good, Yes it looked hard fought with both guys showing marks from the war. No shame in losing to Lenny for your man, Lenny is a solid European level operator.
