1 punch ko, and iirc wasn't Fullmer ahead on points?

Greb-Tunney I was more of a prolonged beating than a Foreman-Frazier demolition, but by all accounts it was brutal.

McGovern-Gans would certainly be a contender if you see it as on the level. Several knockdowns in two rounds against arguably the best p4p fighter of the era.

    Pep-Saddler I is a good one.

Schmeling doesn't qualify as an ATG, but both Louis-Schmeling fights were brutal beatings in their own way.

When you mentioned Chavez I think about Chavez/Rosario. I didn't expect Chavez to outclass Rosario like that. And then when you think about Rosario. He fought Livingstone Bramble, who at the time was I think p4p number 4 or 5 in boxing. Just below Hearns,Hagler,Tyson and Spinks if I recall, and Rosario knocked out Bramble in two rounds in a surprisingly easy fight where he hit Bramble easily.

spinks, a veteran of 4 heavyweight title bouts after moving up from 175 and skipping cruiserweight....

was a mismatch and a train wreck waiting to happen....i dont think many people thought spinks could win and if they did it was some kind of boxing lesson he was gonna give mike.... great win, but doesnt fit the criteria for this thread topic

not to mention spinks didnt take a beating either, he was hit with one body shot and went down, got up to only be smashed with the next punch, a right hand

I thought Spinks would give him a good fight. The delay in the fight probably affected Spinks a little, but if he went down with a body punch in round one like that, he would have always gone down. I thought he would do better and I thought he had a chance to win.

Foreman had Frazier's number and pounded him mercilessly.

There was almost nothing Frazier could do against Foreman. If he started to punch Foreman would have a much harder uppercut or hook. Hearns against Duran was similar. Duran opened up and Tommy would land anything he wanted. Hearns against Duran was more speed and Foreman vs. Frazier was just too much power.

Indeed. And to think George was terrified of fighting Joe each time.

Tyson won the first round & was way more past prime than Frazier was, Foreman over Frazier was the better & more decisive victory, no doubt.
