If YOU were Joe Calzaghe, would you come out of retirement to fight Andre Ward?

Was that a conscious decision by Calzaghe or just a reflection of how weak the division had become?

****** Dinovelvet, everyone is destroying your 'Lewis is one dimensional boxer' comment in that other thread.

You are so dumb. I love it how you stalk threads whenever a British fighter is mentioned.

Tell me more about Kessler and how inexperienced he was against Calzaghe.

    :lol::lol:

    Did his competition dip?
He beat the whos who of SMWs. Before he fought Lacy and America new him he beat

    Eubank SMW champ
    Reid SMW champ
    Woodhall SMW champ
    Brewer SMW champ
    Veit SMW champ
    Mitchell SMW champ

All had been or became SMW champs and were all top 10 world rated when Calzaghe beat them.

Consider also that other fighters he beat were or became top 10 rated in
    Mkertchyan
    Starie
    Sheika
Ashira though his rating was at MW

    This was all before Lacy

Maybe Calzaghe wants Ward to face some fighters that arent his leftovers first?
Remember how Ward said Bute would have to fight some other fighters first? Same thing

Thats 5 or 6 ok guys in 8 years. The high water mark would be Reid. Thats a dip even from a faded Eubank.

Especially for a guy who supposedly wanted a fight with RJJ.

:patsch who should he fight, genius?

he's practically cleaned out the division. every fighter with a title(Froch and Abraham) he has already beaten. being undisputed isn't enough for slappy Joe?

If I were calzaghe no I would stay retired. The only reason I would consider it is if I were broke. Its been too long since he gave up to come back and hope to just pick up where he left off.

he was never going to give the answer anyway. he's a straight up liar if he says he watched the eubank vs calzaghe fight but didn't know who the top of the bill was. he never watched anything. he's a YT guy.

yeah, it was called the full monty because of the huge success the film had. FW did the full monty 2 with calzaghe vs woodhall as top of the bill. the undercard was that tragic fight with ingle vs botile (think that's how you spell his name)

knew something was wrong with ingle about a minute into the first round. i was shouting at the telly for them to stop the fight. let him fight another day. but no, they let it go on. it was like watching the slowest murder take place. absolutely horrible. :good
