At least John Joe has good experience in the WSB which should stand to him in the pro ranks.

This is true. And remember, Nevin is ver skilled with decent defense, great footwork and tremendous accuracy.

In fact, if develops more power as a pro he could be a very decent prospect indeed. It will be all about strenght and conditioning.
Still though - would have been great if he was using shane mc guigan for strength and conditioning and sparring the likes of Frampton.

I saw Fortuna last year on the same card where Lee foguth McEwan the boy can bang very exciting and talented young fighter

Paddy is gonna need something special for this :deal

Its just a shame he has to take such a big jump in class going from his last few fights to Fortuna is a massive leap

You gotta take these opportunities when they pop up i suppose,Big step up but a calculated risk none the less.
Watched some of Fortuna yesterday his career looks like a highlight reel very tv friendly alright.
Its been a big year for Irish pro boxing Macklin ,Lee, Magee and pajo in world title fights.

Interim or Space Invader title I presume? Huge step up though. I hope he has something we haven't seen in the previous 27 because he'll need it. I've looked up more of Fortuna. Jeepers!

Fairplay to Hyland for making the move Stateside and for biding his time for a big opportunity, I hope he gives this fight with Fortuna his best shot, I have never seen Fortuna fight, but I have been reading the views of others on this thread - so it sounds like a tough assignment.

This could be too big a jump for Hyland. Ive been waitin for him to step up but this seems to be a bit more than a step up.
