I'd just look at common opponents like Bika and Kessler...Ward struggled seriously with Bika and Kessler couldn't see a damn thing (though Ward would have beaten him anyway). I'd say it's a pretty close, good, technical fight. Both guys have extremely high ring IQ's and skill levels, both very quick, both awkward, both able to turn it into a rough inside fight. Neither has that KO power though both can catch you with something you don't see. Edge to Calzaghe on punch resistance/recovery. Both guys have a lot of heart and pride. It's a fight I'd pay to see. I'd pick Calzaghe but there's no way either of them makes the other look that bad. Neither guy is going to run out of ideas and subsequently give up *cough*Dawson*cough*
I'll be fair and say, reasonably 10-2. But more then likely 11-1 or worse, Ward is of a entirely different level, he just is.
Joe does not need ward to be made look silly. He took care of that himself getting dropped by a featherduster like Byron Mitchell!
This.:deal Why? Because the fight is in SOBs hometown and they'd slip Calzaghe some Mick Rohypnalls and secondly Calzaghe's long retired.. To be fair, the only loser is whoever thought rhyming 'Zaghe' with 'slappy' was a good idea.. :fire *wanker* Hypothetical man.
i mean....many think he got a gift vs a garbage bhop, and i know that styles make fights but SOG is like a bhop on roids....and quicker too
Freddy how do you justify the following: Ward beat Froch by scores of 115-113 (x2) and 118-110. You don't think Calzaghe was greater than two rounds better than Froch? Ward was gassed vs Froch from round 9. Froch...round 9.... Froch came back in the last 3/4 rounds. Justify how Ward wins based on these three facets Freddy. Is Froch faster, more technical and has better stamina than Joe?
both proved that theyre the best in their time but Calzaghe challenged himself more by going up in weight to fight Hopkins instead of making him come down to super middle both are great fighters though
