Joe makes himself look silly. He doesn't need any help. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACgTJhEdj5M[/ame]
After further consideration I think I would like to see Joe have to prove himself against a fighter with a pulse first, so let Froch have his fun :vonnecunt:arran
...so Calzaghe didn't fight Reid, Veit, Lacy, Bika and Kessler in their prime? Or Brewer and Mitchell fresh out of being robbed by Ottke?
Lacy was the definition of a hypejob. Everybody knows this. Why do Calslaptards continue to bring up his name as if he was anything more than that? :verysad
Ward has proved himself a great. He would outbox Calzaghe easy. Joe would give him fits. It would be a closer fight with a wider score. If that makes sense.
Lacy being a hypejob notwithstanding, he was young and in his prime when Calzaghe fought him, he was highly rated by the press and the statement made by Slothrop about Calzaghe avoiding young, prime fighters until they were old and washed up is disproven by the Lacy fight. It's not trying to say Lacy was a great fighter, its simply pointing out that there was a highly rated fighter in his prime that Calzaghe fought and beat clean, so the accusation of him not fighting anyone in their prime has no legitimacy.
You forgot a couple of words in that sentance. Up until they fought Lacy was the next great SMW, then after one of the most embarssing one side beatdowns of a boxing generation suddenly Lacy is a hypejob, exposed and all the other BS that EBS posters like to say about fighters when they lose. How silly would Ward have made Calzaghe look? who knows cause it's speculation based on everybodies own opionion, they never fought we will never know.
Based on what? Who did Lacy actually beat to come anywhere close to being considered "great"? Nobody... Before or after Calslappy schooled his ass. :deal
